I really don’t mind having sometimes creepy people in my front yard digging through my blue bags for the refundable containers but coming home to an orange sticker on my other blue bag because you combined my non-refundable containers with my cardboard is a fucking piss off. Have the decency to not screw up my hard work attempt at recycling or next time I’ll run you off with a weapon in hand.

i was having trouble with bottle guys ripping open my blue bags on recycling night, so i started separating all the returnable cans and bottles from the rest of my recycling and just putting them on the ground next to the bags. i find the loose cans/bottles get taken away really fast and my bags don’t get ripped into any more.
I guess i should be glad they’ve started ringing my doorbell looking for bottles?
It’s even worse in my neighborhood. There’ve been times when they just rip open the bag, dump it out, take what they want, and leave the rest on the ground.
