If, as has been said, the face is the “mirror of the soul” then grammar is the mirror of the mind. Grammar embodies the structure of writing (as in the present case of the commenters on Bitch) and so the absence of grammar indicates the absence of mental structure. The absence of mental structure, in its turn, indicates the the absence of a mind. It means that the writer is mindless.
Most on this site – you can read what passes for their “thoughts” on this particular thread – are on that basis mindless. Being mindless they mindlessly equate correct grammar with being pedantic, with being “nerdy” as being pedantic is expressed in their debased mental processes. For example, look at Sunbiz’ monumentally amusing “Whom cares?” (05/11, 4:15PM). Isn’t that wonderful? What Sunbiz really wants to get across, of corse, is that he doesn’t care about grammar because, well, he has more important things on his mind. He had more important things to write. But, of course, he doesn’t. Why is that? Well, because he’s mindless. He is unable to write anything more than what amounts to a feeble mental fart. So, for that matter, are the other commenters on this thread who reject grammar. Have a good day.
