Many thanks to the asshat who banged into my van in a parking lot and didn’t leave a note… very considerate of you. Almost $4000 worth of repairs later, I’m still trying to think of a great way to really thank you!
At least I get my van painted and a shiny new rental car for a week.
*sigh*

sorry bud, but hermits get no rest, remember the gully lake guy. they hounded that poor fuck to death. and as to some dolt banging your rig, if it happened in a parking lot, you usually only get half the costs anyway. you got a good deal for whatever damage you had, and a nice paint job too. consider your self lucky. if you called cops, they will alert body shops to be on the look out for vehicles with comparable damage to yours. that’s how it usually works there. so someone will get a bit of surprise when they go get their car, cops will be waiting for them.
It is really frustrating when stuff like this happens. For example – I go out of my way to make sure my car doors don’t hit the cars beside me when I am exiting/entering my vehicle. Yet, the only damage my car has sustained so far (knock on wood) is a variety of dents and dings from oblivious and incosiderate shitheads. Boo.
sp oops, “inconsiderate.”
Love the tag…haha
Sure is a crappy situation though….
Are there security cameras in the area (gas station, mall, bank, etc). If you approach these places and explain what happened, most are willing to hand over video tape to the police.
Oh, bad drivers. When will they learn. Not too long ago, some drunken fool rammed a truck into my father’s fence door and broke it. The guy who was driving already had his license suspended for drunk driving. I don’t know his last name, but I know that he’s an alcoholic, and I would like to report him.
