Whether and disrarding all the reason you can and should park on the street vertain days when theres no snow – multiple reasons why you can – it’s illeagal . Plain and simple – it’s just illegal – regradless. So people that whine about that 50 buck ticket – stop – you plainly broke a law – regardless – it’s posted – well known and everyone whines about – if you missed it – you need to really pay attention to whats going on in your city and street . What really needs to be done – is attended and represented public meeting with town hall – and i mean all 300+ thousand of us making our bitch known – can lead to amendments – what i’m saying here is – stop being an armchair politician and complainer – and make you voice heard . But in the mean time – if you want to stop feeding the “cash cow ” stop parking on the streets for now and you don’t have to contribute..

i agree more – this is what i’m saying – people in these situations should be issued a parking exemption sticker like people that live in certain neighborhoods get to park overnight or overtime at signs . true enough logic – thou english writing prose isn’t my forte – certainly if spoken it would be understood . What i was looking for was some ideas about how to get amendments and certain restrictions lifted . Albeit -i’ll be parking an albetra plated truck in the winter when i go home for awhile – I won’t park on a street and get ticketed – i just wonder especially south and north ends of halifax residents could work a compromise with the city . Up here they don’t bother plowing side streets ( except this year they allocated monies for it because half a neighborhood burned because the trucks couldn’t get down the road,) and as long as your car is currently plated and stickered- you can leave it whereever you want for as long as you want.

We wear a tag we call ‘a silky’ , its basicly a backstage pass to the show, they can give you access to various areas or ‘all areas’ with the Name of the Show, date & venue & time of show etc.
That way there could be no abuse, like me going downtown tonight & using a silky from last nights show…its not inthere & the cops etc. are aware of that so using it tonight would get you ticketed. Still something along that line for the cooks, the cleaners, bar staff etc, couldn’t hurt.
Plus since most establishments are closed by 1:30 or 2 am it could work.
After all this would still be for when there’s no snow strom or clean up effort, but usually if its a storm like that, many of us don’t go to work in it anyway.

Listen, I’m not one to pick apart a bitch over a couple of typos or misspellings, but when the entire bitch is one enormous run-on sentence and it’s riddled with errors, it makes my brain bleed when I read it. Also, it DOES make it difficult to understand. It also makes it difficult to even read at all.

Spelling and punctuation on web postings are what they are: we do all write these things in a rush, and often between other “distractions” (like, uh, work) so it is inevitable that typos will pop up. Everyone is going to misstype “your/you’re”, “their/they’re/there” and “hear/here” now and then.
But maybe you could at least break up the stream of text with paragraph breaks so that we aren’t so overwhelmed with a massive pile of words all at once.
Actually ruby – yea you are right . I just type away and don’t think about stopping with proper punctuations. How about this – i’ll try to use proper paragraphs and re read what i’ve typed and try to make it less run on . And in the mean time – and until i get it done – people will just have to read through all the crap and try to get the point . I make a living using tools , not writing english essays .
