What the fuck? The legislate everything happy MLAs are now deciding that munincipalities can put dog breed bans on the books.
Way to go! Because that will have any affect ! As it stands in the Park, if the city deems a dog dangerous, it can be either ordered to be destroyed or muzzled/caged by the owner.
Why go beyond that? Why ban entire breeds (which is pointless, as unless the dog is purebred with papers, it can be subjective what kind of dog it is)?
All this is going to do is make the people that own dogs as dick extensions find a new breed, and the ones that fight dogs will just ignore it anyway. So this really only affects responsible dog owners.
All dogs need trained, not just large dogs. I’ve personally been bitten by dogs several times, and they were all little kick dogs. At the same time, I know literally dozens of people that own the ‘dangerous breeds’ and have never had any problems whatsoever.
But no, lets ban a bunch of different types of dogs. That’ll fix the problem.

I tend to believe that there are no bad dogs…just bad (and sometimes REALLY bad) dog owners. They should be the ones who are penalized.

Yeah, I saw the thing with the mixed breeds, which is insane. It’s completely subjective.The thing that pisses me off the most about this, is that the Bill 138 is a collection of several things, and this just got slid in in a sleazy attempt to get it through before the end of the short spring seesion. When they tried it on it’s own, it got voted down. This is bullshit politicking at it’s worsts.
I think that we’re going to start banning certain breeds of dogs, we should also start banning certain kinds of children. I’m more scared of walking through the Commons and getting savagely beaten by a group of fourteen year old girls than having an Am-Staff run over to me and mangle my legs.Honestly, raise a dog poorly and it’ll be mean. Hey, I am a big fan of banning the dogs owner that teaches them to be nasty. I rellay don’t want to get started on this topic as i will lose it. I have 3 Amstaffs and the are very loyal to me. There talking about owners with certain breeds have to have a sign stating that a certain type of breed is on the property. So as owners are we going to be pegged as bad people also?????? The people who agree that this is so stupid should get together and fight for what we believe in. I think we are becoming a communist country.
