I don’t know if this belongs in the bitch column, or in the long list of things to be addressed concerning transport and infrastructure in this crumbling city: 3 separate mornings in the past month I’ve seen very VERY close calls between large cars and bicycles at the intersection where the Commons meets Bell Road and Trollope Street at the new high school. Twice it was the driver’s fault, once the cyclist’s. However, I suspect that each time, it was the fault of poor public education and support regarding cycling as well as a total lack of signage to slow down and WATCH at this busy corner, where I have myself nearly been hit while crossing on foot. Please don’t make me witness a more gruesome run-in next time; my nerves have had enough!
