Thank you to whoever hit the bike rack on our PARKED CAR. Get your eyes checked. Grow a spine and leave a note. It was a great wedding present seeing as how we met mountain biking. And now we get to fix it together. This city is so bike unfriendly sometimes without the added hassle of bike accessories being smashed as well. Can’t wait to move someday. —Rookie Traffic Vigilante

Just an FYI there, fucky…as much as it sucks to have your property damaged with no way of compensation, it could have happened in ANY URBAN CENTRE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. The fact that it happened in Halifax is irrelevant. Don’t go painting the entire city with your brush of ill contempt and claiming that it’s because the city is “bike unfriendly”, just because, by coincidence, it happened here.
I’ll be glad when you move too.
Also irrelevant: It was a great wedding present seeing as how we met mountain biking. Like, so what? For that reason, I’m out.
I can only imagine what damage they got out of it though…
I think overall , you’re coming out ahead.
I went as Killer Croc…
long live the dollar store!

holy shit. wrong thread….
god, it’s time for me to go home and get some rest…
OP you’re obviously not very well traveled.. In most other cities you’re lucky if it’s ONLY the bike rack.
OB, would you rather they hit your car, or the bike rack? Hopefully the car was okay.
better that your bike got smacked on a rack, than say, if you were riding it someplace. see, bad things happen for a good reason. maybe you would have had bike out today, and got run over. thank you stars o.p., driver did a favour to you.
I find some bike racks are hard to see on the back of some vehicles. Our rack is black and having a black car doesn’t help. We always put a red flag on our rack when there aren’t any bikes on it (I’ve walked into it too many times – I can imagine how easily a car might hit one).
Don’t wait. Go now.
