There we go again. Until the exact cause of this is determined, don’t go and jump the gun claiming speed is the sole cause of it. How about campaigning for more driver education/training or better enforcement? We’ve had several car/pedestrian fatalities recently which were due to drivers failing to yield to pedestrians. These had nothing to do with speed, yet the public still chooses to blame speed rather than the driver.
