A big thank you goes out to two cab companies in Greater Halifax. Thank you for making me wait 40mins outside my place of work at 2am. Sorry that I am not drunk and stumbling my way through the streets to hail you over. I am merely a female employee who works at a place that closes at 2am that doesn’t always feel safe walking alone on a busy Friday night.

call A-cab. tell them you are bar staff. you will get a cab, usually within 10 minutes, especially once you become a regular.
Yeah A Cab is usually great. I never call the other two first because I have been burned too many times.
Arrange with the cab company for pickup earlier in the evening, say a couple of hours before you get off.
Cabs in this city are fucking pathetic!! Especially on the Dmouth side. After midnite you cannot even get them to answer the fucking phone! No wonder people drink and drive.
