To the mother fucking SOB who broke into my car last night on Trillium Court in Dartmouth and stole my corroded battery. You didn’t have to break the window you dumb fuck. As the doors were unlocked. Better hope I don’t find out who you are! You will be sorry!

And the HRM creates yet another dangerous criminal with intent. Terrific.Ever need to explain to your kids when they ask “why is there war, Mommy?” you just send them on down. I don’t take long to become the OP
Kay, Are you referring to myself, being the original poster, as the one who was made into a dangerous criminal with intent?
Well James, maybe I’m wrong but “you’ll be sorry” doesn’t typically equate to a firm conversation. Maybe you were implying “you’ll be sorry”… when I call the cops on you? I suppose if that’s what you meant then that’s what you would’ve said. Instead you left it at an open ended threat. We have terrific imaginations and lots of experience with crime and its victims. It’s not a far leap to think you’d do harm to the people who have wronged you.The point of my post is that if somebody doesn’t just turn the other cheek, wars ensue. This mentality is common, especially in this backward town.
Kay, why must you be such a miserable miserable person… Is it not enough to say your piece without adding the highly prejudicial comment “especially in this backward town”You sound just like all those other hateful losers we see so much of on here…
I don’t get how someone can constantly be be spewing homophobia on here, occasionally bible thumping, and generally just being crotchety, yet think their own morality is elevated enough to allow them to call everyone else “backward”.
Jammie, don’t pretend to know me. This is a public board. If you don’t agree with my opinion then say so but don’t pretend to know me. You just don’t.And Floyd, keep telling me to fuck off and see how much misery you can generate. You should be patting yourself on the back. Now go fuck off some more. This IS a backward town and this is what it does to people. I’m just simply waking up to the truth about the Maritimes and I’m disappointed. boohoo But don’t YOU be disappointed I’m becoming one of you. Knowing the path and walking the path are two different things.I know retaliation and hate breed nothing more than more retaliation and hate but what else is there to do with all these fucking friendly people if not stoop to their level. Frankly, I’m just bored out of my mind.
Never said I knew you Kay. And I do happen to agree with you to a certain extent. I always back you up when you say something I agree with. And yes I disagree with you when I don’t like what you say. I try to treat each situation on it’s own.But I find it ironic that you are always taking the high road on so many issues, and say you’re standing up for the underdog but continue to bash homosexuals in so many posts (not this one obviously). It’s so counter to the rest of the persona you present. That’s all.
Oops. Its.
Jammie, spoken like a gay guy. Whatever. Have at ‘er… I mean him.. or…hmmm??? *sigh*This is a BITCH board and I’m a bitch. I fit right in here.I tend to stand up for drug addicts and the poor. I despise racism but I don’t understand same sex anything that’s not just for fun. I think the government should not dictate to Canadians and think there are way too many laws. I’m all for natural selection yet I’m a Christian. I think people should keep their hands to themselves while voicing their varying opinions. Although I am quite a realist and very pragmatic… what’s your problem with my post, exactly? Its…. what?
Didn’t have a problem with your post, dearest. I agree an eye for an eye leads to everybody being blind. Also not gay. Just don’t get why you often seem so focussed on dissing the gays while speaking out against all kinds of other discrimination. The problem with allowing one kind of discrimination but disallowing others is that it’s… well… discrimination. Sort of internally inconsistent to discriminate who you can protect from discrimination. Or something like that.BUT, I have to hand it to you – you win Quote of the Day for “I don’t understand same sex anything that’s not just for fun.” That’s funny as hell! LOL
Kay you fucking hypocrite… You claim to be a Christian, but instead you are a judgemental, bigotted, unforgiving heathen. Many times I have tried to reach out to you in the spirit of goodwill, but I am met with nothing but meanness and hatred in return…You obviously have personal issues, which you should seek professional assistance for…Rest assured though that I forgive your callous pettiness every time, and I am forever hopeful that you will one day wake up to what is really going on in this world…
“If somebody doesn’t just turn the other cheek, wars ensue.” I disagree with your (Kay) statement – it’s too simple. Can I make a leap and suggest that if there is no intersection of moral points of view and ensuing dialogue about needs and wants, then wars are likely to ensue? Or something like that. Kay is entitled to voice her opinion, as we all are. Different opinions being raised, I think, is a good thing – it provides plenty of opportunity for discussion. What I don’t understand (and Jammie pointed this out) is how you (Kay) can stand up against some forms of discrimination and not others. It doesn’t make sense to me. Having said this, I guess holding conflicting beliefs is not so uncommon.
Floyd, aren’t jugdgment, bigotry and refusal to forgive now Christianity’s main requirements? Just what I heard…
This reminds of a bumper sticker that says:The Christian Right is Neither
Well, remember when Jesus said homosexuality is an abomination and must not be tolerated and all homosexuals will burn in hell for all eternity and all govenments must protect the family unit by not allowing them to marry? Oh wait, that wasn’t Jesus. That was Bill O’Reilly. My bad. They’re so hard to tell apart.
Where’s Ann Coulter when you need a moral compass?
WTF you had me going there,,, I was all did he really say that,,, then the punch line…
That’s Ann “Ass Polyp” Coulter to you, Phlonk.Oops, I fell on the floor drunk again.
The thing about Jesus and homosexuality is that he never said a damned thing about it. And, Christians seems to forget that Jesus told his followers to blow off that long list of Rabinnic (??) laws in Leviticus that appear to make some small mention of gay sex. as well as all the other stuff abut shellfish, periods, pigs, etc.Anyway, I totally agree that Western Christianity bears absolutely no resemblance to the faith that Jesus encouraged people to adopt in the New Testament. It’s weird that the world’s second most intolerant fundamentalist group is based on a religion whose inspiration preached exactly the opposite. As for Kay’s views on The Gay, she is of course entitled to them. But she should also recognize that such views are commonly considered backward, and thus she risks being called a hypocrite when she calls the rest of us backward.I just wish she could actually engage in a conversation about these things instead of pitching hissy fits and name calling when called on her bullshit. (To be fair, I am occasionally guilty of name calling, but I try to keep things pretty even for the most part.)
I know – where’s the moral outrage at the lobster boils and crab fests??? Cause it’s the same dang story – you can’t call one wrong and embrace the other.Hey heyHo hoLobster tails have got to go!
Now I want Surf n Turf. And beer. Oh yeah why do bible thumpers hate booze? Jesus even made it himself. Out of water apparently.
Very eloquent piece there Jammie on Jesus & Christianity…In my meditations I have seen Jesus as simply about opening up your heart to the others in the world around you…The rest of it was made up by a bunch of horny, unfulfilled, angry, slovenly, cantankerous old curmudgens,,, i.e. the forefathers of the modern R-party…
By Christian I meant Christ-like? Unlike some formal doctrine I consider Jesus the proof of who/what we are and what we could do… heal the sick, resist temptation, transcend… because we can do all the other stuff he did when we chose to… bleed, die, cry, forgive… Throw the implications of string theory into the bag and… wow! We’re kind of obligated to find out what that is and be, all that we can be, aren’t we?
OK that is much more pleasant interpretation of Christ than the Bible Belt version, if a bit New Agey. I can’t knock it, considering the alternative. Still don’t get the gay-bashing but to eah her own I guess.
