Brunswick Street high rises are the last place you want to move to in Halifax. When are the lousy, cheapskates owners of these buildings going to finally address this horrendous problem? —Horrified That Someone Lost $5k Because of Bed Bugs

  1. The only way the bed bug problem there will ever be solved is if the buildings are demolished… and probably burning’s best so the little fuckers don’t crawl and spread themselves to surrounding areas.

$950 plus parking for a one bedroom at that roach motel *shudder*

  2. I kind of feel bad for those from away that are oblivious to those buildings’ history, especially this girl who unknowingly sublet into it. Then I’m thinking who in their right mind would even bother sub-letting; just move the fuck out. Greasy bastards!

I’ll always remember those few faces that were informed of what those buildings are after having moved in. I even remember not wanting to go visit friends if they lived there and even the feelings of not wanting people who live there come into my house. Bedbugs spread so fast and easily some tenants must feel as though they’re victims of some weird plague….. some weird North-End Halifax plague…..

  3. Mod why was my last post removed? I didn’t type out the ‘N’ word….Someone had their nose out of joint….I take offense to the use of “Crack Towers” and “Greasy bastards” on behave of all crack addicts and greasy bastards everywhere.

  4. Who would rent in that fucking rathole? Nothing short of a nuclear blast will remove the curse on that land. Added bonus, the blast zone would include Uniacke Square and, quite possibly, some key hipster strongholds.

  5. My brother and I lived there in 1988. We called it Chateau Ghetto. It was also known as Vaseline Towers.

Back then, cockroaches ruled that roost. They gave us a type of chalk that the cockroaches didn’t like. We’d do knives and watch for one of the little fuckers to come out and we’d draw a chalk circle around them, virtually trapping them. Then I’d get my Ice Mist hairspray (Joico) and we’d spray them and watch as they slowly freeze in place. Good old Ice Mist! Kept your hair BIG hair up in place all night!

  6. people should check the n.s. bedbug registry, tho not current, it gives you a clue, where not to consider moving.
