I had just found out I was denied $3,000 I was relying on; four hours later my boyfriend and I broke up; then as I drank my pity beer with two girlfriends at a bar where I am well-known at they skipped out on their bill (even though I paid mine) and left me to deal with it. You overheard me talking to my mom. You stopped to tell me it would be OK, and you wished me all the best. I cried and hugged you. You made my entire life a little bit better.
