Our poor school received a bad reputation because of a few awful humans and some negligent leadership, but to those students who are spending their winter break rebuilding a home in Alabama, you’re representing what we should all be. I salute you! I love you! You are a few among the thousands of AMAZING SMU students that are beautiful, caring people. And, yes, I am guilty of loving many beautiful Dal students as well. —Proud SMUdent

Yeah, the entire SMU seems to have taken a bit of a black eye, but lets be honest – this type of behavior happens everywhere. Not making judgment, just being realistic.
Hopefully some resolution comes out of this.
