I’ll never forget the day I grabbed my daughter and ran out of the house to catch our bus despite her protests, only to jump on and finally listen to her words: “But Mommy, I’m not wearing any shoes!” I hadn’t noticed my barefoot child and the whole bus laughed including the driver. I was shocked when he graciously offered to wait while we ran back in to put her shoes on. Everyone on the bus waited patiently and seemed to almost enjoy it. I had never had such a good bus ride and I’m thankful that bus driver was so great!! —Julia
