I will never again give any of my money to that popular downtown bar that I only ever visit to make my friends happy. I was treated like a piece of shit when I entered, and I was “removed”, despite being the most sober person in the bar because I was “slouching” or not “having fun” like the many over-served douchebags that infiltrate that place on any given night. Why do we patronize bars in our city that treat people like dirt? I love this city and I try to be positive, but places like this make me doubt the virtues not only of Halifax but of humanity in general. Fuck you. —Dignified Night Life Enthusiast

  1. This is a funny one, If you don’t like the fuckin place then why are you bitching at being “removed”. You’re losing your faith in halifax/humanity’s virtues because a bar you don’t like kicked you out for being sad and a downer? Maaaaaaaaaaaaan people come here bitchin about gay rights and racism and other hate related crap and you’re here goin on about this shit? First world problems right here.

  2. op, an incident like this makes you doubt humanity? eh?? eh???? you poor, sensitive little desert flower. I guess humanity better change it’s wanton ways to turn that frownie upside downie!

  3. Halifax bar/party scene is washed out to say the least. It’s beyond a cliche. Just accept it and move on. Not like you’re missing anything.

  4. Slouching? You should always try to maintain good posture lest you develop back issues. The bar did you a favour.

  5. Did you expect anything different from a bunch of roid raging, SMU football players?

  6. As long as there’s a bar or two that serves Guinness and Steak and Kidney Pie, I’m happy as fuck.

  7. To STEPHEN HARPER IS THE MOTHERFUCKING DEVIL – you clearly don’t talk to most of the people bouncing downtown – SMU football players make up like 10%.

Also, to the OP, security uses their discretion, they have to remove anyone who appears to be too drunk for everyone’s safety. My guess is you were probably drunk (maybe not super bad and kick-out worthy) but you were more than likely a dick about it when they spoke to you, so they threw you out for that too. Security has the authority and if you’re difficult, then it is completely counter-productive for you to be, you’re not going to change their mind by being a douche
