Ok, let me get this straight: City Council voted against a guy from developing his property on Lower Water St, probably a sizeable financial expenditure on his part and at the same time the city and the province are looking to spend public money on a new convention center? What the fuck? This city really does have its head up its ass.

Hard to believe, I know. And with 19 of the same 24 morons re-elected I guess we have a lot of this crap to look forward to. Hendsbee was quoted saying that the design followed policies and guidelines set forth by the city and whatnot, but spiritually it doesn’t belong there. So 24 people simply use their personal opinions to get things or not, regardless of the rules/laws. Nice…So McRae has 2 things he could do. 1 is sue the city to recover 2.5 years of costs for nothing (he apparently followed everything the city wanted, but a small minority didn’t want it there). 2, knock everything down to spite clowncil, Pacey and the 693 people who signed the petition to stop the work.
