Ahh Fairview its always scary walking to meet my friend who lives close to there and a pregnant woman like what the hell that’s disgusting Sketchy Sketchy
if they’ll stab pregnant they’ll stab anyone. what this world has come to is every man/woman for themselves. another crime that won’t be solved. sick of halifax
I’m not condoning this AT ALL, but the lady stabbed was only 3 months preggo, and at 3 months some people aren’t even showing so while a pregnant lady DID get stabbed, no one probably would’ve KNOWN she was pregnant unless she told them. That’s sort of a consolation in this whole situation because it’s not a case of some maniac who will go around stabbing pregnant ladies so they’ll probably stab anyone, you know?
That being said, the news is saying the suspect knows the victim so it wasn’t a random act of violence. While crimes like these are horrible, it is nice to know it wasn’t some random maniac going around stabbing random people.
Apparently they were fighting over a piece of electronic equipment…probably an ipod or some such shit.
The only time I like Fairview is when I’m driving away from it. Kinda like Dartmouth.
Luckily, PK, pretty much all the recent violence seems to be among acquaintances. That being said, it’s only a matter of time before some innocent bystander gets hurt.
Or a case of mistaken identity occurs- and an innocent person dies- which has happened where I am (I don’t live in halifax)
Pretty Kitty, if the two people involved in the incident knew eachother, chances are good it was also known she was pregnant- and like ‘On the Go’ says, if they’ll stab a pregnant woman, they’ll stab anyone. I don’t think OTG was saying someone like that would necessarily start stabbing random strangers on the street, but rather there is no low a person like that wouldn’t sink to if ‘provoked’.
As far as the crime “never being solved”, there was an arrest as of yesterday. Also, why are we so shocked? This sort of thing has been coming to a head, especially in the lower-income areas.

Man, it sure makes me glad to be residing around the inbreds on Route 333. They may drool and twitch a bit but the only use for guns around here is to pop a few lobster for breakfast. Last I heard, the lobsters were regrouping and planning a retaliation strategy.

Honestly, over the past little while there hasn’t really been THAT much crap going on in Fairview. Living as close as I do to Fairview and taking bus routes that regularly travel through there, I really don’t see what the big deal is. Sure there’ve been a few violent crimes lately, but what about other areas of Hfx/Dartmouth? Shit happens everywhere around here.
Fairview isn’t really ALL that bad.
This kind of shit happens everywhere. SURPRISE! watch the news there is crazy people doing crazy shit all over the world, and its probably been going on for a very long time. Only difference now is the media is able to tell us all the gruesome details very quickly.The problem is most people eat this shit up. We(society) love violence, look at most video games or movies. Ever drove by the scene of an accident or crime? everyone is slowing down to see if they can get a glimpse of something. It doesn’t help that the suspects/criminals have more rights these days then the victim either. Its a regular free for all with hardly any repercussions. Looks like we just have to watch our backs, regardless of where we live.

The difference in these crimes is they are out in the open where the white collar crimes committed everyday by your govt is always behind closed doors…..
Dr. Fever, crimes has been allowed to come to a head in lower income areas because the po’lice are classists and think the poor should all do each other in…..so they ignore the pent and vent until it explodes and makes the paper…then the calm sits in and pents and vents until next time..
The popo know who be doing who with what….. the police maintain the status quo in these areas then cry victim when it gets to hard for them to hide or clean up…. then they hire more that do not know what they are doing…..then have another round table discussion about violence with a bunch of squares and one eyed jacks…..
Folks says HRM police are racist….that an easy one….try ageist, classist and sexist too…. then combinations therein……
