Dear NoFX goers: It’s a punk rock show. Don’t go to it and expect not to get pushed around. Seriously, lighten up. I have no idea what you people expected when you bought your tickets. The day there is no elbows or pushing or feet in the face or madness at a punk show is the day we might as well stop having fun, and you are bringing us to that day pretty quickly.
To the guy outside complaining that he cut his hand because he fell in the crowd: IT IS A PUNK SHOW. Wear you injury with pride. Some day you’ll be too old to get hurt in the crowd. —Arno

Despite my undying love to music there are some shows I wouldn’t attend … mainly because I’d be crying standing in the middle of a mosh pit … you only live once but there are certain things I have no desire to ever do.
I’m with you op. Why go to that type of concert and then complain about it …
Now, as anyone who knows me here, knows full well, I don’t like taking cheap shots at today’s youth. But really – can you honestly imagine Sid Vicious whingeing about the small stuff?
“Oh No – my needle tracks are infected”
“Someone stabbed my girlfriend in a drug-induced delirium. Whatever is society coming to?”
“Oh bother – I’ve overdosed again.”
Fucksake kids – scrotum up.

Yeah, I’m not a punk kid but I love live shows. I hear people complaining about having to stand for long periods of time and things getting a little rowdy and their clothes getting dirty and whatnot. They’re missing the point. They should just stay home and listen to mp3s on their laptops.
i agree op..it’s not called slam dance for nuth’n..
I didn’t go because I think NOFX are terrible, but I’d say that show was probably pretty fucking tame. Especially compared to this show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfqHCG-YLhI… , which I went to in montreal. On top of the moshing people were throwing garbage cans, flotation devices and lighting off fire works. Pretty much par for the course at a Haymaker show.
I also think NoFX are meh, but having said that: 100% valid. Fucking people, if you don’t want to be pushed around, stand at the BACK OF THE CROWD where the rest of the motionless standers are. The rest of us will be throwing elbows and reviling in the pure rush of adrenaline, the sense of brotherhood, and incredible natural high that being in a pit provides. There is nothing like it, and if someone can’t take the hits and love it, they shouldn’t be up front.
Man the fuck up, I once saw a guy (shirtless) get a nipple piercing ripped out and continue to throw down. Once saw a 95 lb girl get an eyebrow piercing ripped out and keep rockin’ the fuck out.
That is the essence of a live hardcore show. Love it or stand back for the rest of us who do.
stand back? fuck that, I won’t be anywhere near that shit.
since when did experiencing live music involve mandatory elbow throwing and piercing rippage?
fucking retards….
