I just read a small portion of outgoing AG Jacques Lapointes review of the NDP’s Nova Scotia Job Fund, and here’s the shocker, we, the taxpayers, were boned to the tune of Half a Billion Dollars with little or no financial analysis carried out! Say it isn’t so, the Dippers were elected as the Party looking out for the family, what a joke. I’d love to see some of the money recovered from the outgoing MLA’s and Premiers pension checks, but realise that’s pissing against the wind. —RB

I’m going to miss Jacques.
Families and unions were virtually ignored by the Dippers, along with a lot of other causes they bleated about BEFORE they came to power.
I, too, will miss LaPointe – his replacement will have a huge pencil mustache to fill. Kudos to LaPointe for exposing the MLA expense scandal – it implemented many changes in government following his report. But it wasn’t enough to save the SS Orange Titanic.
