It’s 4:30 am and I’m listening to Avril Lavigne’s “When I’m Gone”. Not only do I hate Avril, but I especially hate her at 4:30 in the morning after a night out on a holiday weekend in the comfort of my apartment. It’s bad enough that I have to hear you bastards on the loud speakers at 6 am on the weekdays now you have invaded the weekends by blasting easy listening crap full blast ALL NIGHT. I expected noise living across from you and all but this is too much – turn it down or better yet – OFF!

Headachey

  1. wtf is a hardware store OPEN at 4:30am anyway, and blasting the neighbourhood with pop culture noise, crapril lavigne no less?call the store 457-3480, have a word with the idiot manager

  2. The store isn’t open at that hour but probably has an overnight restocking crew working. The outdoor speakers shouldn’t be on at 4:30am. You can’t call the manager an idiot since he may not be aware of what the night supervisor overlooked.

  3. if the manager doesn’t know what his night crew is up to, then he’s a negligent manager, and quite possibly an idiot

  4. The general manager would only know about issues occuring during his off-duty hours if brought to his attention by customers or the duty-manager or staff working that shift. That doesn’t make the store manager negligent at all. It makes his duty-manager look bad, especially if he knows whats going on. Or it could be aa simple as a speaker selection switch not getting turned to the “night” position. All the OP had to do was call or visit the store and mention the problem. Heck, he/she could have called the HRP and made a complaint under the noise bylaw. But as usual people complain on a website which will do little to actually resolve the issue.

  5. NSITC said, “as usual people complain on a website which will do little to actually resolve the issue.”good point

  6. Frankly it drives me nuts as a contractor to be in a hardware store listening to music that is meant for 14 year old little girls or elevators…Regardless of the time of day. Put on CBC radio even…but NOT that crap!!!!
