So I take my gf to a newly opened “King of Dragons” asian buffet restaurant downtown, we have our meal, enjoy our time talking and ask for the check. I happen to take a gander at the thing, and happen to notice WHOA SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT HERE BUDDY wtf? You’ve weighed how much food I left on the plate and your CHARGING ME FOR IT? Is this fucking legal? No way Jose there is no fucking way I am paying for the goddamned bones that was in that chicken. I apologize to the waiter for making a huge scene and not paying for the wasted bones, and I’m still not paying for that fucking plate. I don’t care if your not from here, I am pretty tolerant. But take your asian ideals and stuff it bub

Only letting this in because I trust ya’all will do the appropriate thing…
So, by your logic, you buy boned chicken at the grocery store and buy by weight, right? Therefore, I should get a discount for the weight of the bones. Holy fuck, thanks for the belly laugh – my goddamn sides just popped out.
I would love to see a transcript of the argument. How you connected paying for chicken bone scraps to ethnic differences is racist and ignorant. Someone has to tell you that, OP. And for the record to everyone, when someone says “I am tolerant…” whatever they are gonna say after that is generally intolerant. Not wanting customers to waste food is just good business, not an “asian ideals”.I don’t like having to pay for extras either, but gone are the times we could eat and waste whatever we wanted.
Laughs hysterically, falls out of chair, rolls on floor, holdsbelly with both hands.
Seriously though, how much ‘extra’ could you possibly have been charged?
All good points, definetly not an asian thing unless King’s Palace is also doing it on their buffett. My question is, was it posted any wheres? And I echo the how much.
Next time you’ll ask for a doggie-bag, wontchya?
I don’t understand this , I thought most buffet restaurants charged a certain amout .You know like “$14.99 all you can eat ” . If that is the case how can they charge you for what you leave on your plate if your full ? I have been to buffets before and wasn’t asked to pay extra for what I didn’t eat. That just seems stupid, unless there is a sign that says pay by the weight or something. Anyway if thats the case I won’t be eating there anytime soon .
Oh and Kay , I am pretty sure buffet restaurants don’t allow doggie bags. If they did I would be sure to grab a big heaping plate before I left, for the road. If you know of one let me know I will have to go for a visit.
i’m sure that every time this person gets shafted at a white-run restaurant it’s the fault of their “white ideals”……fucking tool. PS thanks for “tolerating” fellow canadians. gold claps.

It IS posted, right on the tables, with the drink menu. It’s to discourage people from taking more than they’re actually going to eat. For example, if Bob wanted sushi, and took 15 sushi rolls, and leaves four of them, because he couldn’t stuff them down his gullet, that food gets wasted. The restaurant is out the cost of that food, and Bob the Pig isn’t paying for it. So they charge for it. There’s a list of what items cost what. Take a look at it before you head back for seconds.
