That’s what a deposit is for, I know hindsight is 2020 right? No worries, just demand one the next time to ensure that the person really wants the apartment or at least that if they do bail…you have at least 12 the rent required.Sorry for you getting screwed and if my post comes of badly, really no intention to do so.
