Are You Michael Vick’s Mother or Something?

To the woman at the grocery store on Tacoma freaking out at the young woman with the pit bull: Please go play in traffic… now! You yelled at me (I guess it was the uniform) demanding to know where the dog’s muzzle was. The young woman and I looked at each other in confusion and you stormed up to us and repeated the question then added, “I have two red pitbulls and I have to have them muzzled, it’s the law!” Then you walked by a few feet, turned and walked back, nudging the dog’s face with your knee. “Go on, make my day,” you said, in the hope that the dog would do something to you. A moment later you pulled out your cell and started filming us.

News flash lady: There is no law requiring pitbulls to be muzzled in HRM… unless, and I’m quoting the by-law officer here, “They have been deemed a threat by Animal Control.” So, if you have to have yours muzzled you are one of the far too many using these dogs as a status symbol and muscle. You freaked out the poor young woman who had obviously spent a lot of time training both the dogs she had with her for no reason. As a bully breed advocate I want to beat you blue… and I should not have been all that surprised when you headed into the liquor store after your tirade. I’ll see you again, and we WILL have words. —Bully 4 Me
