I’m sorry.. i know that’s heartless but you know what’s going to happen. Chick will load this child onto you when it gets rough or when there’s any work to be done and when it’s time to look gettocool, she’ll slop around the neighbourhood in ugg-knockoffs and too big sweatpants pushing a stroller and cussing out bus drivers. She’ll have only just enough influence in that child’s life to turn it into another generation of her.
Not all teen moms are like this. Someone very close to me was a teen mom and she is a responsible, loving mother, currently in law school, married to a doctor and raising her cosby kid beautifully. But you know this girl better than i do and it sounds like you already know how it’s going to go down.
You have to stop this thing now. Maybe you’re agreeing to help this child.. and i can see why you can’t help doing that. But for the love of god, do NOT give babymomma anything that isn’t directly used for the care and feeding of that child. Don’t give her money for a stroller. Give her the stroller.

Your daughter is an idiot, but I hope she makes the right decision and doesn’t have this baby that she has no chance of bringing up to be anything but a mirror of herself.
I can only imagine the stress of being in this situation, OP. Just when you think you can have a life again! Hopefully your daughter, if she chooses not to go the adoption route and keep the baby, will surprise you and end up being a decent mom despite being so young herself. here’s a story that might cheer you up: I know his happens less often than not, but my aunt/uncle went through it with their 15 year old daughter, about 20 years ago. My cousin managed to do a good job; her and her boyfriend alternated their class times so one of them was nearly always with the baby. They both finished high school and when they got jobs, it was the same alternating to care for the baby, but they never had to go on welfare. Eventually she was able to go to university; not until her mid 20’s, but they’re both professionals now and together just bought her mom/dad a new car.
there will be teen knock ups, as long as teen boys can get a hard on. speaking from past experience, it seems very easy to do.

If you were hand feeding your daughter her birth control…that’s fucked up. I won’t comment any further than this because you never know someone’s situation, but when you are having to take care of the minutiae of someone’s life like that, something is gonna slip. You should have instead taught her how important it is to take those pills.

i_k, i know a few girls like that too. my step daughter is one. she made a mistake, paid for it, and now is a very happy secure person, and i love getting my little bugaboo all the time. hell, if anythings happens to mom, at work or home, she knows that we are here for the little one. and i would defy anyone, to say that she is even remotely, a bad mom. if so, you better move off this fucking planet, if and when, i find you.

No, serious Nanny. You deserve a break after raising that kid. Reasonable people make dumb choices and (fpr example) get knocked up. This could be a bonding experience(and I know my opinion is probably shit to you- I’m not going to fight you on that. It is really none of my business), and out of this quagmire a new life is going to be created. Don’t be a sucker. Don’t raise the baby in place of your daughter(unless she fucks up bad- then call CPS and adopt the child away from your daughter). Maybe guide her, instead of just taking a giant shit on her. Maybe this will be a beautiful thing.
But I don’t have kids. I’m not qualified, but neither is your daughter and she’s preggers.
