I will give the transit authority it`s due, the addition of environmentally friendly buses is a nice gesture, but how about one thing, the next time one of your brainiacs are designing one of these buses, how about keeping the passengers comfort level in mind.

Those fucking seats are more uncomfortable than any I have ever sat on anywhere. Fucking ridiculous. I take the bus to assist in the environment process, to not spend my paychecks to park my car, the very least I ask as a passenger is to have a seat that, when I get home after a bus trip, I don`t have to rush to the medicine cabinet for a pain reliever for my sore back. —Pain in my back

  1. Give me a fucking break op. MT doesn’t design their own buses and I am sure doesn’t shop them in order to find the most comfortable buses for their passengers. I’ve heard some lame bitches about MT on here, but this one beats them all

  2. I think all the new seats are really comfortable… my problem is those tiny buses that can’t fit enough people on it… especially during rush hour.

  3. Those are pretty standard seat designs, OP. You haven’t been around much, have you, OP? Go to any other city and the seats on the busses are pretty much the same.

While I’ll admit the older seats are more comfortable, at least MT’s invested in ALF artic busses so your ass can actually FIT on the bus and get a seat. Could’ve just gone with what they had and had routes like the 1 and the 52 run on smaller, non artic ALF busses.

I swear people will complain about anything.

  4. it’s not about your comfort, it’s about how many, and how much they can get. did you for one second think that bus designers had your ass ‘s comfort in mind, when they were building these things? if you did, then you are denser than a fucking rock, and deserve to stand.

  5. alf busses?
he didn’t have enough room in his little saucer spaceship to fit buses…
    just some PBn’K sandwiches.
    peanut butter and kitty

  6. I actually find that the straight backs on the hybrid bus seats are quite comfortable.

    Suck it up, buttercup!

  7. Give me a break. I spent over two hours a day on those buses everyday for four years, the seats are fine. Stop blaming Metro Transit on your terrible posture.

  8. I don’t mind the seats on the new buses. The only thing I dislike – and this happens in certain seats in all buses – is that I am short, and in a lot of the seats I can’t put my feet flat on the floor. It means when we go around a corner I have to hang on for dear life, or end up in the lap of my neighbour. But, being short is a fact of life, and you don’t see me complaining that it’s metro transit’s fault!

  9. my only problem with them is how slow they are sometimes, i’ve been late for work because of those damn buses.. the best comfort you can provide for your customers is having them at their destination on time

  10. The seat reviews on the new buses are way more positive than negative. I agree with pineappleninja though, the city had a brainfart when they changed manufacturers for the new artics.

  11. I just don’t like that there aren’t two doors on the shorter ones….
though I suppose I’m always in a rush and being anywhere near the back of the bus means I’m standing around twiddling my thumbs.

  12. That does make it a pain in the ass. If you’re in the back of the bus and the aisle is filled with standing people everyone has to basically move off the bus for you to get out. It’s like a plane aisle. BUT definitely comfortable when you actually get to sit down.
