Look, asshole, when two cyclists are within 25m of your stop would it kill you to wait that extra 2 seconds to let the cyclists roll by? Instead of turning on your signal light when us two were beside you can then cramming us over, forcing us to break and get behind you where the exhaust comes out, couldn’t you have just waited and let us roll on by and then turn in? Everybody knows that you fuckers don’t have a schedule to keep so whats the big fucking rush? You in hurry to get home? Fuck you.

Dude, I was run over by an 18 wheeler nineteen years ago. Believe me when I say this:
It doesn’t matter if you’re right when you’re looking up at the bottom of a truck, or bus.
It’s not bringing your legs back just because you have a smug look on your face and get to say “I told you so”.
Drive defensively, and protect yourself.
Yeah, I hear ya. Had a run in with an 18 wheeler once too. Believe me, I know what to watch for and wouldn’t put myself in danger and was inthis case, its more a frustration of the rudeness aspect. I mean, you see us, why not just wait that extra second?
Cyclists can’t have it their way all the time. How many times have I seen them driving on sidewalks, driving on crosswalks, running through stop signs…..come on, if you are going to bitch, at least me in support of having cyclists require license numbers also. I’d love to report cyclists who disobey the rules for their convenience.
yes o.p., it would actually do just about that. if you want to sit aroung fucking off, think about the 50 or so people on the bus that don’t want to miss their connection. stop thinking about the me, and start to think of us. put yourself in those people’s place that you are putting at an inconvience.
Cranky – with the exception of a few of the oldest vehicles in the transit fleet, the exhaust pipe exits through the top left part of the rear bulkhead so you aren’t getting blast of diesel exhaust at face level.
Oops, I was thinking about school busses when I mentioned the exhaust.
We’re not talking about amounts of time that add up to missed connections, we’re talking a decrease in acceleration or slight tap on the brake amount of delay…
I can’t comment on ‘what other cyclists do’, but for the record, I’ve caught up with cyclists I’ve seen run red lights and told them they were fucking assholes for doing it. ok?

I’m still baffled by the cyclist who cut off a charter bus I was driving last fall on Oxford @ South.
We were both headed down the hill past Armbrae Academy, he signalled left and stayed in the left lane at the 4-way stop, I stayed in the right lane to go straight through to Inglis St. Just as I start to roll he decides to turn right, zips across my bumper and might have only missed kissing it by a foot or so. Thankfully I kept my brake pedal covered in this situation and the fast reaction time meant the cyclist is still around to try it again.
He gave me the finger as well (cranky, was it you?) meanwhile I’m having to deal with a pissed off tour guide and passengers who reported me for having almost caused an accident.
Nah, not this cat. I try to avoid quick stupid moves like that.
This is one of many reasons why I’m getting a bike rack for my car and finding bike trails outside the city.
Good move, a lot of the best rides are within a 30 minute drive of metro.

Senor Campana ….awesome idea. I just installed a hitch and bike rack on my truck. The best trails are definitely outside Halifax where you will rarely ever meet other cyclists. Very peaceful. Oh and you can skip the helmet there too 🙂
