To all of you online scalpers who are going to be stuck with oodles of tickets this weekend. Good for you! I hope you lose money so bad you have to sell your house. To all of the legit people that can’t sell your tickets due to unforeseen circumstances, life’s a bitch but you should have had more sense to buy tix that far in advance. This is a festival type concert you asshats! The show won’t sell out and there will be tickets available the day of the show.

Why do you care? Every huge show on the commons is free anyway.
I care because it’s idiots like this that buy all the tickets for smaller shows like Neil Young and Modest Mouse and then rip the real fans off. I take pleasure in seeing the oodles of ads in Kijiji as these asshats panic to sell off their tickets for McCartney, which the public will still be able to buy at the gates. I also care because these idiots also think they’re so pitiful that the Chronically Horid deems it newsworthy. Is that good enough of a bitch for ya fizz? Does it pass your fucking bitch criteria? Please approve it for me…
scalpers never win. 2 points for the regular folk!
ahahaha here here! we can;t forget about the little people
I saw a guy at the Willow Tree an hour ago with a sign that said “I want tickets”, guess he never heard of the internet.
What the fuck are you talking about BRoc? Do you have some sort of personal vendetta against me? Get over it already, it’s starting to get just a tad annoying.
People outside the gates are selling for $120 – well, when I was down there earlier.
Some are even buying extra tickets.
Every show on the commons is free. I’m 3 blocks away and can hear Wintersleep clear as day just by opening my window 🙂
this is for cranky…. the guy that had the sign saying that he wants tickets is using the same cardboard he used last week. if you flip it over, it says “came from vancouver, need bus money home, anything will help. god bless” haha
Fizz, I’m the OP of the this bitch, and your first useless comment was to ask “why do you care?”. So, no, I don’t have a personal vendetta against you, but I really wanted to make sure I explain my reasoning for the bitch so that you could approve of it. Do you? Please?
Drama on the internet. News to me.
whatever-his-name-is Cox will not release official ticket sales, but said the walkup sales were “huge” … hmmm … i wonder if Bon Jovi (~33,000) outsold ‘Sir Paul’ ? … the Metro Centre had a big McCartney banner up from Mon to Wed; kind of a ‘cry for help’ and a barometer for ticket sales
i am apathetic to the whole thing: i really do not care if folks had a good time/got their money’s worth/if he put on a good show … i my humble opinion, the Beatles were fortunate to ride the ‘age wave’ and found a ready audience of teens in America in the 60s/70s … it is HERESY to say to most baby-boomers that the Beatles are not even the best band to come out of the UK (Led Zeppelin) !!!!! … in fact, Beatles’ music ceased to be relevant around 1970 !!!!! … attendance was hither for the Rolling Stones concert (in the mud and rain) than there was for McCartney … how is that as an indicator of relavance ?
Looks like you’re guess was wrong, ObstructedView, as it’s estimated that over 50,000 people attended the concert.
i agree
your plain stupid to scalp tickets for a show that large it will never sell out!!!!
Well it didn’t take long for Sir Paul to take off from the city with at least three million. I saw his SUV (so much for the environmentalist) and police escort heading towards the MacKay to the airport at 11:55pm.
Ya Bro Tim, he shoulda taken a smart car to the airport, no wait, a smart car to the harbour, and then a row boat back to England, ha, some environmentalist HE is! Phony!
Not to mention his private jet, his homes, and he probably used enough kwh of power keep at least one home going for a year.
That’s a good thread.
ya that’s actually really funny.. I was at superstore saturday at 11am, and there were loads of tickets still left!!
lol….to those stupid fools who even buy these tickets….suckers!
i won tickets and sold them on kijiji in mere hours of winning them. couldn’t have been happier to be rid of them. the cold hard cash in my pockets feels much better and seeing paul’s dentures flapping.
