I sell online regularly. I have to, disability and all that. So I have to ask two things; why is it that OVER 50 per cent of the people I am in contact with, either through email or phone, just don’t come through? They agree with the price, agree with a said time to meet, and then…nothing!!!! No call or email to say, “I’ve changed my mind, something has come up”, whatever, anything. It’s called common courtesy. I call it plain ignorant. The other, and what I feel is an even bigger issue, is the more I sell online. This is not a retail store. I/we can’t offer warranties. It’s called “buyer beware” for those that really need to be told. But no, how many wankers have I dealt with that expect a used $20 item to be returnable!!!! I’m sorry, but that is just stupid. But it happens all the time. And for the idiot that repeatedly called, emailed threats to me because of a $20 item: You need serious help if that is your reaction to not getting your way. I had to call the police on your sorry ass, over $20!!!! And you still went out of your way to email under the pretence of being another buyer just to waste my time. You are one very sick individual. It’s called stalker law, you twisted fuck! So anyone willing to sell online, it’s called customer beware. Because there are some very fucked up individuals buying online. —Brenda

  1. Welcome to the world of business. Do you have a clue how many nos a salesperson gets, whether in retail, automotive, or for a factory producing goods to be sold in stores, when trying to sell their products or services? It’s not that great, maybe one in a hundred (if you’re lucky). You add on to it an anonymous internet store and it goes down. People don’t trust (usually) things they can’t see in person. It’s not like the way Amway or Avon would have you believe.

  2. If I don’t get my form-fitted push-up bra that I ordered on-line in the next 2 days, the terrorists will have won.

  3. Someone’s been guzzling cheap wine all day. Do they still make Mazol Tov red?

  4. Ch!pmans have produced a new line of !dle No M*re themed fortified wines. Most popular is “The Grapes of Frack” in special wide-mouthed 2 litre jug; makes it easier to fill with gasoline and rags.

  5. Well, claiming an income you don’t actually have to work for as ‘hard earned money’ is a bit of a reach.

At least in the eyes of us who are actually employed.

Chug a lug, I guess. Especially if it involves a certain pub around 11am any given weekday.

  6. Sucking the financial marrow of an ex is damn hard work, Kitty! If it isn’t a job, it should be! 😉

  7. Yeah, sitting on your arse your entire adult life while your partner works their arse OFF is hard work.

    My bad.

Hey, can anyone suggest a good wine?

  8. What about a nice Chianti, like ‘My Half of the Ex’s Pension Cheque’ 1989?

  9. I’ve heard that’s a great vintage, though apparently the 1990 has just a *hint* of botox.

It was on Lies at 5 and it really adds to the flavour.

  10. Who’s making those disgusting glugging sounds? I’m having visions of bingo wings, overstretched tank tops and dirty pink sweat pants – why is the ground trembling????

  11. Now now, there’s no need to get no_fool involved in this.

    Unless there’s mini pizzas.

Hey, anyone up for a 22 minutes taping in the fall?

  12. brenda my dear, as part of my new job, i buy a lot of stuff online, up to about 3 grand a month. shit i get is for my security work, and i install it also.
my business has grown in the last year plus, so that i am constantly looking for a deal, in electronic gismos that is, i have a place stateside, that gives me great deals, but some very hard to get stuff, i have to go other routes for.always honest ones of course.
if you have had trying times with buyers, i suggest that you re-evaluate your buyers.

  13. I’ll copy and paste my canned bitch about Kijiji Fools:

    1. The “ask if it is still available” (and never hear from them again). Would you walk in to a store and say “Hi, do you still have item X” and upon hearing them say “yes, here it is” walking out without saying a word? Think of how fucked up that is.
    2. The “Will you take $20 for this $200 listed item”. This is a funny one, because at some point, with no cash in a particular item, you might just let it go for a steal just to get rid of it. The funny part you ask? When you say “Sure” and they DON’T GET BACK YO TOU.
    3. The “I’ll take it” and you negotiate a price with a threat of emails ending in “Ok great. Glad to make a deal. I am out of the country until next year. I’ll email you to arrange a time to pick it up then”… and you have to find another buyer for your surplus dairy products.
    4. The “I’ll take it! Fair price!” and you suggest a neutral arrangement to do the transaction and you NEVER HEAR FROM THEM AGAIN.
    5. The “I’ll take it” and you negotiate a price and then they ask if you will deliver the $5 iphone cable to but fuck nowhere for free.
    6. The “I can get it new for X”. Then why are you wasting both of our time instead of getting it new. I don’t give a flying fuck what you can get new. Moot.
    7. The “I just bought your very used / fully disclosed problems / reasonably priced car and now I have a million questions to email you about it”
    8. The “I’ll take it, price is negotiated, turns out your husband / wife changed his / her mind”. No they didn’t change their mind. You’re just a chronic time waster who has nothing better to do / friends to talk to / so you use Kijiji as a penpal finding service.

Sigh.. the list goes on. I actually posted an iphone for sale and after a month of no shows, low ballers and bull shitters, I took a video of it being run over by my car and posted it as “now no one can have it and I am still the winner with a smashed iphone”.
