Why is there so much nasty, sexist shit written on this website? I get that its a site for bitching but it really seems to bring out the absolute worst in people. I am suprised at how much hating is going on in Halifax- really, the rest of the country isn’t like that and its actually shameful to say ‘fuck’ and ‘cunt’ all the time. You people need to lighten up!

As far as the sexist remarks go, honey, welcome to the REAL world. I am a woman and absolutely detest the 95% of drama queen cunts out there. I’ve very rarely had the problems with men that I have had with devious females. They deserve to be smeared for their stupidity.

There’s only one type of female that irks me to no end – they are the women who think they are ‘victims’ – that the big bad men of the world are suppressing them. Let me tell ya, sweetheart, I’ve been on this planet for many moons and I know how to stand up for myself. I worked at jobs back in the 70s where I was the first female to do such a job. Did the men I worked with give me any problems?? No. The women, however, had their verbal knives out because none of them had the guts to take the challenge. Men will support each other, women seem to be in a fucking malicious competition with one another. This is not to say I hate all women. I have a half dozen girlfriends that I adore and who, like myself, can’t stand the ‘victim’ mentality that seems to prevail among today’s women.
Women are retarded. I’ve long thought that if women actually worked together the same way men do, women would own & run the world. A woman, or two women is fine. Put a bunch of women into the same environment, whether their boss is a man or a woman, they’ll be so consumed with backstabbing, rumor starting, bullshitting that it does nothing but drive away the few women that are actually their to do a good job.I am by no means that suggesting that all men do a good job, but we don’t do this backstabbing b.s. that causes such hostile working environments. My gf has worked in a place like that before and I pushed her to quit. I’d rather her find a lower paying job in good working conditions that have to deal with that shit every day. I cannot believe that, in 2008, I am reading this uneducated, sexist bullshit. I don’t believe that I am a victim of any “big bad men” but I do completely believe that women are treated differently than men are. If a man is resistant to giving up some of his work on the job, he wouldn’t be labelled as a “malicious male” — he’d be seen as a guy who wants to do his job right and not be made useless by someone else. Society teaches us that women are supposed to be meak and agreeable so when they speak up about something on the job, they get called a sneaky, backstabbing bitch.I have worked with men and women in equal amounts and have equal experiences with backstabbing and rumor starting but one overwhelming theme is that the ladies get called bitches and the men get promotions.And Elbee, I still think that women don’t like you because you treat them like dirt. It ain’t a man’s world anymore. As a middle-aged white man, I am supposedly responsible for all the evils in the world. From my own experience, angry, backstabbing people come from both sexes, the only difference being that I can call a guy a prick but get sued if I call a woman a bitch. Likely it’s just a coincidence, but all of them, are very much well-liked and respected, by the other men, and women alike! So get the chip off your shoulder!

I like to think Im not sexist or racist. I tell off color (hah hah.. color… get it?) jokes and I have certain attitudes against certain ethnic groups. Would I ever hold it against an individual? Never.I’ve had the chance to work with quite a few different kinds of people in school and jobs I’ve had. If you’re competent, do your work and you treat people with respect I will be your best friend regardless of sex, race, or religion. However, if the only reason you have a job/position is BECAUSE of your sex/race/religion, can’t do the job given to you, and get offended over the slightest off color remark (or are just generally an asshole), I have no sympathy for you.I think that’s what we see the most LTWWB, people bitching about the assholes.
