Stereotypes do originate somewhere. Let’s look at the facts:
1) Bouncers make minimum wage
2) They are in a position of pretty much absolute power, the cops will believe their story 100% of the time, sometimes even knowingly accepting their lies as the truth.
3) They are required to be physically imposing.
4) They work around drunk, invariably horny people.
Now on to my personal opinions:
They, like many police officers, are more interested in the “perks” of the job than anything.
Many of them show up hours early for work, unpaid, because they a) have no lives and/or b) want to make appearances, and seem like they are more important then they are.
They will fuck anything that may have something that might resemble a vagina.
One of my best friends, who I currently share an apartment with, bounced at our town’s most popular night club for over a year. I don’t hate bouncers on principal, just the ones who perpetuate that stereotype.
Not much you can do OP, unless you want to end up in the drunk tank like I did for attempting to knock out the bouncer. It was totally worth it to me but this was before you had to pay a fine for going to the drunk tank. Still can’t believe I can still get in that place.
These guys piss me off because they provoke people and then hide behind cops. One of the most infuriating things I can think of right now. Good thing I didn’t stay 20 forever I’d have killed one of those cocksuckers.
Oh dude, weren’t you the arts student who “faked” and attack by a bouncer at the AH? No freaking wonder , you’re lucky you can get into bars .. cause if I were the bouncer.. you wouldn’t get in anywhere and I’d make sure of it…
