Dear American firms/businesses: Please leave Canada and do not return. We do not need your type of jobs or your idea of what “Canada” wants. Please do not come here looking for a free ride (taxes, wages, rebates, et. cetera) since we can give to our own people instead of you coming here and taking our money and leaving. Oh, to the 18,000 employees you just let go? They thank you from the bottom of their hearts. The Canadian taxpayers like you too, since all these people will be on EI. So when you get to the boarder and say goodbye please return your passport and don’t let the door hit you on the way out. —American dream

And didn’t a huge chunk of those 18 thousand come from former zellers employees? You know the people who would of been out of a job when zellers went under years ago? Without companies trying nobody will have jobs

In what boarding house was the boarder staying? Were the conditions crowded? As he was an American why was he required to return his passport since he was heading back to the US? Do you work at the border?

Yes OB, let’s force every American company to leave Canada. When they do, what will we do with the millions and millions who will be out of work? And while we are at it, shall we ban all American products that come to Canada? So the Bullseye screwed up and expanded too large too fast but as one person said the ex-employees of the other store got jobs for a couple of years. Don’t worry, someone will take over those store fronts and hire people.
Your bone to pick should be with those who invite them in, your elected officials.
Word has it that Acme Corp. wants to expand into Canada, primarily because of our burgeoning urban coyote population.

Why are you upset with them? Shouldn’t you be upset with your “government” that’s giving these incentives out? How long are we going to keep that failing ferry going with millions of tax payers dollars? It’s not the store’s fault. If someone was to give you a handout and say “don’t worry about it”, I’m 100% certain you’ll say “yes please and thanks” 🙂
