Who is reading the afternoon news on our local talk radio station? Just in the past week alone she has called Kim Jong IL (Kim Jong 2), Robert Ghiz (Robert Jizz) and stated at least 5 times yesterday the NS Film industry had $150,000 worth of projects this year when, in reality, it is $150 M-I-L-L-I-O-N.
The Robert Jizz debacle was damn funny and during live radio there is no doubt mistakes can happen. However, these are not mistakes. This is someone who really has no idea who/what the newsmakers are. To not know this, or, constantly provide incorrect information is unprofessional. It is hard to turn to this station for reliable information.
Does anyone from management even listen to the radio station? If so, help this person out.

Hahahaha…Robert Jizz

i only listen to CBC radio, but oh, i gotta hear this
AM or FM? and frequency please.
Sadly, there is no more AM techcafe. 780 went off the air a couple weeks ago and it was the last one.
@nevermind, yeah, i heard about that… my mom listens to 780 KIXX (or used to), and she was lamenting about there being no ‘good’ country radio stations anymore. apparently the country station on the FM dial sucks, according to my mom.
but i’m getting her a new laptop, so she’ll have a world of country (internet) radio at her fingertips.
as for myself, my radio is welded on CBC. the other local stations are just insolent noise… too much obnoxious advertising and horrible music, i can’t stand them.
What NineOToo said…except with more ha’s.
ya radio sux in this province.
I think they’re referring to 103.5 or 101.3, both have horrible hosts!!!
they constantly mess up, constantly give the wrong news and constantly mispronounce words!
I worked in radio as a DJ and my brainiac co-worker insisted on calling Shiite Muslims a word that rhymes with spit. I tried correcting me and he told me I was just a stupid DJ, what did I know? More than him, evidently. My other favourite was the person who pronounced the leader’s name “Yassir Air-FART”.
You are correct in indicating someone needs to sit down with this person and help her out. As my crusty old news director advised me: listen to CBC. They usually have it right.
I mean, I tried correcting HIM… Going to go get my first coffee now. 😛
I love hearing a local radio personality (who shall remain nameless), who says “like” and “omg” and “awesome” every 10 seconds. When did we go from being a society that valued speaking well to a society full of people speaking like 14 year old California girls? Sad…
