Wow, what Tim’s do you go to? The ones I go to, I usually get A1 customer service. Sorry you had such bad experiences.
Well…I would hardly say that you are “always right”, as you are making quite a huge generalization. I personally work for Tim’s and I personally thank each and every single one of my customers. If they tip me…they get thanked again. I don’t know who you are dealing with but please do not blacklist all of us by making such a blanket statement about all Tim’s employees in general. There are alot of great people that work for Tim’s that are excellent with their customers. However, your attitude has given me a bit of insight as to why you might not be getting the service that “you think you deserve”!
C,mon, TH employees are pretty damn nice and they,re working hard…ever been to the one in Scotia Square at 10 am? Let,s grab a coffee and bitch about the sublime insolence of…Home Depot?
You should be happy they arent spitting in your coffee. If I worked at Tim Hortons, I would be pissy and disgruntled. They are probably struggling to make ends meet with their minimum wage salary and oversized ugly uniforms, while they serve YOU Mr. Right, while you drive your own vehicle. They would be lucky if they could afford to look at a car, let alone buy one. So next time you decide to be Mr. Right, think about the fact that if these people didn’t work at tim hortons, you wouldnt have your daily fix that, by the sounds of it, you need.
Every Tim’s that I’ve been to in HRM -it seems like everyone who serves me is high.
here’s an idea, find another place to buy ur coffee, tims is cheap, pesticide-ridden garbagebetter yet brew ur own @ home, buy somthing healthy in bulk, pay less , increase quality
the Timmy’s I go to – the “hostesses” talk amoungst themsevles and perfectly ignoring the customer. It is so blatently obvious when there is a new hire because that “hostess” actually is polite and does acknowledges you- however shortlived. This TH’s is the one off Robie Street next to the ESSO-now this is during rush hour, I have been there in the evenings and this is definitly NOT the case. And in regards to the Scotia Square TH’s Hostesses- they all deserve a F&*%in’ metal as far as I am concerned. I have NEVER seen customers treat people like shit to the extent of what these people are treated- Now I have hired a girl who worked down there and she told me that it is known to be the hardest TH to work because the customers are soooo shitty …that no wants to work there! pretty bad when the customers get the bad reputation!
Tim Horton’s Coffee isn’t worth the paint it can remove. It’s overheated bitter old swill.

Really, I only go to the Tim’s on Young Street (previously mentioned my mmmmm). I agree with the statement made … but I don’t know … they just hired an older guy … he is the happiest and most pleasent person I have seen. If you avoid the drive through, you will see for yourself when you go in. Makes my morning when someone is that nice.
I totally agree with this bitch. I always thought the pre requisite for working at Tim’s was that you could never smile. And have fake nails.
I must add after reading all of these gripes that MSG is also added to their coffee and this is why it’s so seemingly addictive.
oh my god….insanity. MSG is NOT in Tim Horton’s coffee. Again, I work for them…and this is a huge load of bullshit, trust me. Their coffee is addictive because – *gasp* caffeine is addictive, imagine! And if you people have such a massive problem with Tim Horton’s – then please, don’t go. Becuase 90% of the time, you are the problem, not the poor girl working the counter.
There are a lot of jobs in the city that pay minimum wage. I’ve worked my fair share of low-pay, low-respect jobs and it sucks. But the bottom line is, you’re doing a job and you’re getting paid. I’m sure that being rude and obnoxious to customers is not part of your job description. So suck it up, smile and save the bitchiness for your smoke break.

BLOODCOFFEEBEANS- i truly feel compassion for those who are not fortuante enough to live a country like ours, and i give to causes- but like everyone else – i like to be able to “bitch” when i am in an appropriate forum. Seriously- don’t take this personally but we all just want to vent sometimes and i don’t think it means we are bad people who aren’t grateful for all that we do have!:) i believe in a better world too but we are all human!
I dont work for tim hortons, but I do work in that industry, and i work in a drive thru, and when im having a long day, when i’ve gotten food thrown at me, Im still polite. I still say “Your welcome” and “have a great day” We’re PAID to…TH employees need to do their job.[this was generalized, i know plenty of TH employees who are cheerful..but i know just as many who arent.]
