Dear Halifax, every time I read the “Love” section in The Coast you remind me why I’m still here, why I still live in this charming little place and not in some great big city like Toronto. All the love for beautiful passers-by, for your friends, your dog, the drunk girls who scream “wooooo” at all hours of weekend nights, and for all the bus drivers who make a difference and make your day – all the love is beautiful. You make Halifax the best city to be in. Thank you. —Love + Love

you’re a loser. you think noone in toronto has those things? why do you have to compare to toronto? you invalidate your entire post by that one resentful, feeble-minded little remark.
OP here.
Geez, don’t get your panties in a bunch. I love Toronto, otherwise I wouldn’t have mentioned it as a city I would possibly live in. I have family there, it’s super fun to be in, so much going on all the time, and it’s great. Not to mention most of my closest friends are from there.
I don’t think Toronto is without those things, would I get mad at someone from Toronto giving a positive shout out to the big city for the exact same reasons I love Halifax? Absolutely not! I’m just proud that the city I come from still holds so much wonder and beauty for me after living here my whole life.
You need to loosen up a bit onetime. Don’t be bitter.
Any city with one of these is in trouble….
