I love to hear this….too many good friends of mine have gone out west and not came back…i wish more people would appreciate what we have here in Halifax.
I totally agree with I&D Bystander about the driver. Seeing that would have upset me too; but what was that woman doing letting her cat out on a busy street like that? With the amount of traffic on Chebucto Rd everyday this was bound to happen. Cats in the city should be kept indoors. If that cat was kep inside, it would still be alive.

Hey, it’s a cat, not a child, survival of the fittest, it learned too late that it is no match for a car. The only comfort that I would find is that the creature didn’t damage the car too much since it wasn’t too big. So I say the scales balances out since the driver now has to worry about getting the blood and hair off his/her car. That’s more than a stupid cat’s worth anyway…

it doesn’t matter weather you like cats/ pets or view them as stupid mangy pains in the ass. If they should or should not be outdoor animals doesn’t matter. It is the disregard for the love that the owner felt for her pet that is the nasty bad karma part. It takes very little to show caring and to be kind when someone has been hurt by your actions.
Gimpysaviour, YOU are an asshat. No-one keeps a cat inside a CAGE at home. No sane person, that is. I agree, cats should be kept inside. But sometimes, cats do escape, and all we can do is chase them, try to get them back. When some doorknob runs over a pet, stops, and has the utter assholery to then leave the scene – well, that person deserves any bad karma they get. Gimpysaviour, I’m sure cats everywhere have the smarts to avoid ignorant jerks like you. Cats are notoriously good barometers of nice people / ignorant assholes.

Working In Ottawa for the feds = dull..man do I want to go home! I love NS and Halifax I wish there were more Oppurtinities there! Ottawa is a ghost town at night, “party” isn’t in their dictionary. Maybe I’ll come home soon.
