Opening a club the hours you are suggesting would be a major FAIL in these parts.
OP, if you think it’s such a great investment, how come you’re not out starting your proposed business venture. The businesses in Halifax know this will fail.

I tried to start a board game club at the library, it got rejected because they thought attendance would be low, shame i love playing board games and theres only two of us here in angloshitapartment.

There are a couple of after-hours joints in Hali that I have attended. Not like they can advertise on the event listings!
Kodas right – there are some. But I couldn’t tell you the last time I was awake past 2am…by choice…so I personally don’t see the need for an afterhours club.
sub rosa couldn’t serve liquor,…. so it was all the hard core druggies that pulled that place down to abomination…
then there was that place in the paper last year (?) that got raided when a guy was shot or stabbed,…. hell, that could even be an inclusive ‘or’ for all I can remember.
Drinking until wee hours in the morning… can’t imagine why that would cause trouble….

There used to be several after hours for a number of years. Dartmouth had Club Red, which moved into the old Filter building that now houses Palookas Gym. Sub Rosa was where Jokers is and King’s Palace housed an afterhours downstairs before some lazy promoters messed up.
SR was one of my favourite spots to DJ at.

I miss DJing the after hours. Getting paid $150 for 2.5 hours of DJing/”work” was pretty sweet.
An after hours club would be nice, but then I’d have to see/deal with all those idiot drug addicts I try to avoid! Stay away druggies :). That’s what those 16+ “raves” there for, please go to those and stay away from the good places!
Not everyone at the afterhours were pilled or coked up. After a while about half of the crowd that gathered were bar stars from the Dome, Palace and Pacifico who acted like VIPs. Some would ask me to play hip hop ‘just for them’.
As NGF says, there are also those of us who sometimes are on all night work hours. We sleep days & its easier to stay in night mode, than switch over for a day off. I did 5 weeks straight once 6pm to 6-7am. We didn’t switch back to days on the week end…too hard on the body & mind.
