ADD was never a problem when I was a kid…
how the fuck did it get the spotlight? and what meds are taken for this? most people take ‘meds’ to try to reduce their focus… meanwhile, they’re popping pills for a tunnel-vision approach to life. weird.

It was a problem that went untreated, is all. Instead of identifying kids as suffering from ADD we called them troublemakers and treated them as such. If you check out the prison population today there are an awful lot of ADD and ADHD sufferers who grew up in a time when “ADD was never a problem.”

It’s because they fucked up and apparently have a relatively recently discovered illness that isn’t a desired trait when committing crimes.
I have a feeling they grew up with nary a disciplinarian for a parent, much the same that seems to be the case today.
All too timid to take the belt off and reign the kid in a few notches.
Man, stupid people can’t just be stupid people anymore without having emotional/psychological/undetected illnesses which ’caused’ it. They’re not fucked up… just misunderstood or un(der)treated.
personally as a side note, I think that winnipeg bus guy should be stoned to death (and not in the good way) regardless of whatever he has wrong with him. he’s fucked and no amount of counseling or meds would make me want to be anywhere near him at any time.

I’d love for you to try and answer that second one because I highly doubt you’ll be able to quantify it within any certain degree of accuracy…
