What is it about kissing that freaks people out? Katy Perry can sing to the world that she kissed a girl and she liked it. Madonna can publically kiss Britney Spears and some other chick (that I can’t remember). Rap artists, both male and female can simulate sexual acts on stage. But why can’t an openly gay singer, Adam Lambert, kiss a guy at the AMA awards. Come on people grow up?

I have no idea who or what you are talking about…but it sounds HOT.
I just saw it on TV. Here’s the verdict:
Guys kissing – still hot. This Lambert guys hair – NOT HOT. and by extension that kiss was probably not hot, but I’ll never know because they BLURRED IT OUT! Personally I find his hair more offensive than the kiss.
I agree with the OP. I’ll even take it one step further… More guys kissing on TV! UNCENSORED! More male nudity too! FULL FRONTAL! LESS MULLETS!
Um, the whole act was just plain bad. The singing, bad. The music, bad. The whoring, bad. The whole bit was in bad taste. Christ, that made Madonna look like Mother Teresa.
I know kids from my high school that can sing better than this punk. The whole emo look puts any decent singer to shame. I mean eyeliner?? Come onnnnnn.
I don’t think the the quality of the performance or this guys apparent douchiness had anything to do with the kiss being censored… or justified it in any way.
But touché Dino, emo is NOT HOT.
I tried to watch the Youtube video of this performance but I couldn’t get past about 45 seconds in because the singing and the song were so godawful bloody terrible. Who cares about the dancing when the song is that horrendous? The contraversy should be why anyone lets this dude perform his songs when he can’t even sing, not whether he’s kissing some other dude on TV.
I am definitely not homophobic or anything, at all, and in fact I am oftentimes jealous of gay men because they get a lot more sex than me and don’t have to put up with women the same way we do, plus they provide less competition for us straight guys, but… two dudes kissing?
EEEWWWWWWWWWW!
Hot and steamy lesbian action only, please.
NOOO! More hot and steamy male on male action! There’s tons of female nudity and sexy lesbian action on TV. It’s time we had some more dick to even things out!
With even the straightest of females agreeing that a naked female body is, generally, far more attractive than a naked male body, I think it’s in almost everyone’s best interest to keep male nudity to a minimum. Why is it that only gay men seem to appreciate the male body? Even most straight females don’t like seeing us naked! Or they don’t like seeing me naked…
I like seeing you… I mean… men naked!
…
fizz, if you’re a decently attractive and disease-free female between the ages of 18 and 35, let’s meet up. Now. And before ‘LIFE SUCKS’ gets here!
AHaha… Decently attractive??? I am so much hotter than Kay thinks she is.
So if you’re even hotter than what kay thinks she is, you should be a complete and total Goddess babe. If you’re female, that is. As much as I may wish I was gay sometimes, I’m just not, damnit, and if you’re a dude… I’m sorry. If you fit my previously mentioned criteria, though, let’s get at it!
*Makes unattractive dog-panting noises (but only if you’re a chick).*
*bats eyelashes* (but only if you’re not a dog)
We need more games like this LOL

Ewww I don’t want to see two dudes going at it, even computer dudes.
I want to see me and a chick going at it!
Jealous hoes just wanna ride his dick but they can’t.
Adamn Lambert is garbage, but if he wants to kiss a man on stage and do exactly what many other singers do on stage, I don’t give a fuck, and neither should anyone else.
If this is still making the rounds in the news next week a la half a second of Janet Jackson’s nipple, I will scream. What was the point of blurring that anyways? Oh no, they’re kissing, quick! put a blur up so they think he’s looking at his partner’s teeth or something.
The simulated fellatio was a bit much for primetime TV, but the kiss should not have been blurred.
I’ve seen shows in which two straight guys kiss against their will, and it’s not blurred because they aren’t enjoying it and that’s okay. I don’t think this is just a double standard, this is homophobic.
well duh!
this wasn’t brought to you by the cbc… it was an american show on an american channel…. where it’s not legal to marry if you’re gay, and that seems to be the way they like it.
shocking how they wouldn’t want to see two dudes smack lips….
Yeah, I must have been a fucking retard to have thought of pointing that out. Thanks.
Ah the good old days when Jim Morrison was wrecked and was busted for the Lamb incident, makes Adam Lambert seem like a sack of snail vomit.
I wouldn’t complain about it if he were masculine, but Adam Lambert is WAY too flamy! Men should be men….no in-betweens!
It was the face in the crotch that was what offended most people, according to access hollywood…not that I actually *watch* access hollywood or anything *shityeyes*…
shity eyes pk?
watch out for that pinkeye and keep er away from me..
Adam Lambert’s performance was HOT! It also pushed boundaries in a way that need to happen. If a female singer performed the same crotch kiss choreography with another female there would hardly be the uproar that occured simply because it was a male’s performance. Hetero, bi and gay sexuality have a long way to go before they are equally accepted. Homophobes are funny because homosexuals are attracted to other homosexuals not heterosexuals. I once saw a guy wearing a teeshirt that said ‘dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians’ as if lesbians would even be interested in a hetero male! Some heteros just don’t get it and continue to perpetuate their ignorance.
“Homophobes are funny because homosexuals are attracted to other homosexuals, not heterosexuals.”
I’ve known plenty of gay guys who have fallen for straight guys at one point or another. I’m sure many lesbians have been attracted to straight girls. So what you say isn’t true; if it were, lesbians and gay guys would be dating. Oh wait…
“as if lesbians would even be interested in a hetero male!”
So, if a lesbian wanted to have sex with a guy… she would only ever fuck a gay guy? Never a straight guy?
I get it, we assume the man wearing the T-shirt is hetero, but only because straight guys tend to get off on lesbians! Doesn’t that reality show how fluid sexual orientation really is? People aren’t always confined within their label and certainly not divided into ‘gay’ and ‘not gay’ when it comes to sexual experiences. Straight guys have fucked gay guys, lesbians have had sex with straight girls AND straight guys, straight guys fuck transvestites. Can any of these acts be defined as ‘gay’ or ‘not gay’?
So how do homophobes feel about all this ambiguity? They are fucking terrified of it. They see it as a threat to their own ironclad heterosexuality.
Obviously one size does not fit all but the lesbians I know want nothing to do with male sexuality. There are exceptions I am sure but lesbians by definition are exclusive of male partners.
it’s kind of hard for me to feel sympathy for someone essentially complaining that his sexuality isn’t being exploited the same way female sexuality is-to make make money/get straight guys off. Madonna and Britanny Spears and (ugh) Katie Perry are not lesbians-they exploit the (largely male) fantasy of two women being sexual togeher as something that is for the enjyment of a (usually male) third party. This is why so many bisexual women are hesitant to come out as such-we don’t want our sexual identity to be viewed as some sort of performance. Evidently, that is EXACTLY what Adam Lambert wants-I don’t think he knows what he’s asking for…
“…but lesbians by definition are exclusive of male partners.”
that’s an interesting sentence that can be read two completely opposite ways…
I’m thinking your reasoning is that they exclusive TO lesbians and therefore exclusive OF men? as in no boys allowed.
moseley… I didn’t think about it that way!
Now I have another reason to think he’s a douche….
excellent.
That’s exactly what I was trying to get across, one size does not fit all. I said that people aren’t always confined to the label of their sexual orientation. Perhaps I should rephrase… People are not always (not always: lots of times they are, but not always) confined to the definition of their sexual orientation.
I agree that lesbian by definition means no boys allowed. But Human sexuality is more complicated than the words we came up with to categorize it.
Sex sells. The controversy over Adam Lambert’s performance is certainly putting him in the spotlight and will likely have a positive effect on album sales for him.
Personally, I find it more offensive to watch tv shows and movies that feature graphic violence and horrific death caused by the deranged as a form of ‘entertainment’. If a loved one were to suffer and/or die at the hands of a psychotic the effects would be lifelong devastation. Ask any surviving victim or their families and friends.
I’m a raging lesbian!
But we support you, because we love you.
