Being a stay at home mom has been both stressful, boring and relaxing. Now I’m told I need to go back to work or school soon. Well I checked out some job openings and oh my it was overwhelming. At the same time the though of getting out and working is nice. Having adult conversations is also an awesome thing. All the crap that needs to be done and prepared is just a lot for this poor brain to take in after years of staying with the kids. —Job Hunting Sucks

Ohh goodness. Get ready for it…
“…the though of getting out and working is nice…”
wow, you really don’t remember having a job, do ya?
This is my Monday Smile. Thanks, OB.
I think this is an endearing bitch.
I mean, obviously OB isn’t an asshole and wants to work. There’s nothing wrong with staying home with your kids if you have the means to do so, and OB’s looking forward to going back to work.
It CAN be overwhelming to get back into job hunting/job market after a while out of the workforce, so props to you for getting back out there. Perfectly normal to be frustrated/nervous/overwhelmed.
Yeah it’s something a lot of mothers go through. It won’t be easy, the economy is tough right now. Good luck.
Small steps OP, and good luck to you. >: )
you should go for a government job….
you’re already used to people behaving like children.
it’d be like nothing’s changed!
wait who told you you have to get a job or go to school??? EI or welfare or hubby??
And about time! I’m tired of you sucking at my tit.
Stressfull???????? Gimme a fucking break!! Best not put “stressed out, tired, and bored” from being a non working mom, on your resume.
She actually sounds like she is perfect for metro transit!!
metro management though… they don’t quite have enough of them yet…
yeah, the job market does suck. maybe a temporary job, til something better comes along. we’ve all had to do this, at one time or other.
OB, you sound really limp and weak. Try Opportunity Place in Sackville to help you identify your strengths, build your confidence, focus your job search, and practice your pitch.
“Being a stay at home mom has been BOTH stressful, boring and relaxing.”
That’s three things OP but we’ll let that slide. I’m sure the lack of intellectual stimulation would be tough looking after little ‘uns for a while, I can appreciate that. Good that you’re getting back into the workforce and I’m sure it is overwhelming. Kudos to you for making the step, you seem to have a positive attitude, that will take you quite a ways.
As bitches go, this one was nice.
Get your husband to help out. If he exists.
