I worked today. There was construction everywhere as well. Not everyone has the luxury of an extra day off. Its not like its Christmas, So calm the eff down OP and get some earplugs if you need your beauty sleep that bad. Your as bad as the people that whine about others doing this work on Sundays. Some of us have to make our living on days that you get to sit on your ass.

if you would have checked your calendar o.p., you would have seen the this so called holiday was on sunday the 11th. as it was meant to be. only lately has our idiot gubment decided to settle it on the following day, today. being as it conflicted with the church flakes that whined and moaned about any holiday, taking part of their day off. so they cried and dumb nuts big brother listened and made it an official act.
And when did Remembrance Day become a holiday (usually a celebration)? At one time it was known for what it was, an observance.

seven o’clock in the afternoon (7:00 p.m.)
You could have had them written up with a fine
For the first offence to a penalty of not less than Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) and
of not more than ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) or imprisonment for a period of not
more than one year or both, including the imposition of the minimum fine;
the bylaw doesn’t apply to the day given off for remembrance day that’s why it’s given a special note in the bylaw as the day itself.
