The lady who walks with 2 sticks (she has MS, you know), recently wobbled her way out her front door and went to The Company House for a most amazing concert. Whenever she steps out her front door, she asks herself why she bothers. It takes a huge dose of willpower to make the effort. It is always easier to say “no” and to stay home to rest. But that would be BORING! When she went out, she was met only with kindness: from the staffer who quickly brought her a chair and placed it where she got a good view, to the person who bought her a beer (if her walking was steadier, she would have walked over to say thanks) and the young man at the bus stop who appeared at her elbow and helped over the ice and snow safely to her cab. Thanks guys! —KJ

  1. That makes 2 of us Ivan. This is a really beautiful LOVE. I’m in tears…but I needed these good tears. Makes me realize how lucky I am….and makes me always want to help those who could use a hand every now and then.

  2. i have what doctors think is a connective tissue disorder (not sure quite yet where all the hurt is coming from but that’s the current speculation – until the bloodwork comes back) and yeah. It IS sometimes hard to get up the gumption to leave the house. Especially when you’re having a painful, stiff or just plain fucking bad day.

It’s people like you who remind me that people like me aren’t done yet. People like you remind pussies like me what courage and trust is all about. You’re legend. Your love made my week.

    Keep being awesome!
