Leaving work this A.M. from Hali to Darkness, followed a bus across the old bridge, and it was proceeding at 36 kph, with no one in front of said bus. WTF is up with that. Has the driver somehow forgotten the schedule timeline or is he/she making up their own timeline? It was so frustrating I flipped the bus driver the bird, but I think he/she missed it. Get it together Metro Transit bus drivers and follow the posted speed limit FFS. —Commuter Held Up

  1. Ever think that it was a new driver? You try driving a 13 ton vehicle its not as easy as your 2400 pound POS! That and ever think that the bus driver was early and thus slowing down their speed to adjust for this?

  2. Bitching about the bus? Fuck, you travel to Darkness to work….you have bigger issues than the 64-passenger limo being slow.

  3. Flipping the bird instead of paying attention to your own car could have a caused an accident dick stick…….

  4. I bet you’re one of these fucktards that drives 110 on the Circ, weaving in and out of traffic too, aren’t you? Relax, Skippy. Your work will still be there. It’s precisely your impatient attitude and subsequent road rage that causes accidents, making everyone else late. Not to mention, the majority of the morning traffic is coming from Dartmouth to Halifax on the bridge, which is OPPOSITE to the direction you’re going. What the hell would you do if there was REAL traffic in front of you, spontaneously implode? At least you’re going with the lighter flow of traffic. And if getting stuck behind a bus traveling a whole whopping 14km below the posted limit for a total of what? 3-4 minutes? is going to make you late for work, then it’s time to start leaving home a little earlier….or maybe start taking the bus yourself. It seems to be ahead of you.

  5. I hate drivers like you op. People who drive like you cause accidents. Also the type who tend to hit people crossing the street.

  6. guess not, they have to be someplace at a certain time, and if not, you are hung up waiting for next bus.i take the #52 5 days a week, to pick up my bugaboo, to take to daycare, and not once have i missed my connecter bus. mom has to be gone by 6:45 a.m., and we go to timmie’s for her cookie and chocky milk.then to the center for 7;30. and i catch the 52 at 7:45 from burnside back home, see, it all works out cool.

  7. I’d rather be on a bus that drives slowly over the bridge and makes the next stop on time, than the one that races from stop to stop and then has to just sit there at the terminal for 10 mins waiting for the time it can leave….

  8. You were held up what? three minutes? Ooooooh! SUCH an injustice!!!!

If that’s an issue, either you have major fucking problems with perspective, or you need to get your shit together and leave a bit earlier, OB.

In either case: you are a fuckface. Go get bent.

  9. Hey OP, have you ever noticed that it is called a speed LIMIT and not a speed MINIMUM? So that means that anyone can actually go slower than the posted speed limit if they feel like it. And that also means you can go fuck yourself.

  10. I love it when there is an accident on the bridge and all the buses have to be redirected. LOL. Takes those bus drones forever to get where they are going….longer than the normal insanely long time. Meanwhile everyone in their cars get home so much sooner than those morons.

  11. Actually m_kegg, going considerably slower than the posted speed limit can net you a fine as well because at that point, you are a hazard on the road.

  12. if there’s an accident, I’m thinking the cars would be redirected as well…
they can’t just magically traverse the bridge in some un-buslike fashion.
they’re relegated to the road all the same.

and I don’t speak for everyone, but I certainly wouldn’t get home any quicker 95% of the time if I were driving… my route’s fucking streamlined and gets me practically door to door in under 20 mins.
That 5% suckage factor is worth not having to deal with retarded, dipshit, entitled SUV driving TWATS every damn day.

  13. AND my car stays in better shape MUCH longer.

In the past 4.5 yrs, I’ve only amassed 44 000 kms on my putt putt.
If this keeps up, she should still be good for another decade before she starts to act up.

  14. Hooligan, sorry I should have been more specific. I didn’t mean you can go 10 KM/H in a 100 KM/H zone, I meant you could go something reasonable like 90 KM/H.
