I know some folks who were involved with this event but at the DJ level and not promoting. Apparently the promoters are threatening people via FB/MSN if the people complain or ask for money back.
What’s shocking is that this is the second or third party that this shameful excuse for a group have thrown. Perhaps a partnership with ECD will make them more credible.
What’s shameful is that Red Bull was an official sponsor for this “rave”.

They made their bed so they can sleep with it. When I was old enough to get into clubs legally, I was old enough to get home by myself. The entitlement is what bugs me about this so-called scene in the past few years.
The patrons must accept the consequences that come with “raves”. This party is a bad example of how to throw a proper party, but complaining is only going to shut them down and make patrons look like whiney rich kids.
Then again, I tend to be the only person who thinks that anybody under 19 doesn’t deserve to be out partying with legal-age folks. Nor have they earned the position to be out partying all night. Like I said, most of these kids belong home or at a sock-hop.
If you’re old enough for a big person party, you’re old enough to accept the risks. But at the same time – you should be old enough to see through the fake promoters and accept the possibilities that come with your decisions.
Then again, the promoters for this joke-fest seem to have happily fucked-over the patrons it sold tickets to. There was an original venue in Spryfield that was changed over to Club 1668’s Chinese buffet room. After that was dropped, it was sure to be a shit show.

I checked out the facebook group, I don’t remember being that naive or self centred, but then again I don’t remember liking teenagers even when I was one.
I was on the bus on my way to the Pogue and the kids behind me were going to this rave. They were literally not told exactly where the rave was to be held until they got to the bus to take them there. I eavesdropped and they were talking about how this was the third venue change and they were only told “it might be pretty cold so you might want to bring a blanket”. I, listening, assumed it was an unheated warehouse or something along those lines….not in a bunker…..
So I really don’t think you can blame all the kids…..you know, aside from the “What the hell are you doing out so late with alcohol and drugs” aspect of it.
