A Hard Days Work
To all of the low life, welfare toting, child tax grabbing, dredges of society: why don’t you get a fucking job already? As I waited for my “happy meal” today I was struck by the diversity of the people behind the counter- old, young, black, white, pink,

Self worth, responsibility, and learning to work with others are benefits to work.Getting people off welfare and to work is Compassionate.Creating a society where some people work for a liviing yet end up no better than those who do not is Socially Unjust. We need to re-evaluate what is important in our society. I don’t think giving some people a free pass and expecting others to support them helps either party.
I agree with CTS. My neighbors are 2 sisters that live together. They are a year apart in age. One is 21 and the other 22. They both have 2 kids, never worked, collect welfare, party and then the cops show up. It is like this every month. Oh and they also drink and smoke in the hallway.
Those Fucking Sluts you describe, B, sound like my cousins in Ontario. There should be mandatory sterilization for people like them. After that they should be forced to work. If they do not work, they lose their kids and get put to death. Harsh, but what the fuck. The world is so fucked up, where do you start fixing?
It’s true Scott, the world needs a hero like you. I’m behind ya buddy!
You know, if the government put in a workfare program in place instead of straight up welfare there’d be A LOT less “ladies” getting knocked up over and over to get that extra cash per month. Maybe put in universal daycare and make people work for their welfare?I saw this woman on the news once crying about her welfare not being enough for her to live on. She had been on welfare for 25 or so years and claimed she “volunteered” to pass the time….ok, if she can volunteer a) she has job experience for a resume and b) she can obviously get off her ass and go to a job. I’ve had one of those shitty service jobs when I was in school (more so for something to do rather than needing the money — I just left my last service job last month) and I have all the respect in the world for people working these jobs. They work their ASSES off. A lot of people I worked with were bright, intelligent and A LOT of them had university degrees and couldn’t find jobs, but instead of sitting on their asses with the tax payers money rolling in they got out there and worked for their money. I say workfare with time limits on social assistance (and a cap on how much you get no matter HOW may kids you pop out).
I agree that yes, fast food is hard work and it is necessary for these people to be working for our convenient life style (Which seems to be making the economy thrive and people fat) I respect them, However I disagree with you about welfare, I grew up with a signal mom with 3 children and she worked her ass off and went to university, college, worked at many jobs, but also there were times when we were on welfare and it is no lottery sweetie, it is degrading to go to the food bank with your children in hand. My mom feels bad to this day that she did not provide enough, and when you are working for minimum wedge and have 3 kids to support, pay for day care, rent, food and clothing. try doing that on min wage, I have worked at minimum wage jobs and I know it is no easy task to buy the basics even for one person let alone a family, there needs to be more social programs for people like this. I worked for 10 years and I payed my taxes, and something happens unexpected and I lose my job, apply for welfare while I try to find another one, I have a disability and can not stand for 8 hours a day I would be happy as a waiter but I can not do it, and I am not eligible for welfare. so having been homeless because I was not eligible for welfare makes me think ,yeah they should actually make it easier to get welfare, they give one person $490 a month. Do you think that any one can or would want to survive on that? I think you need to stop making judgments about people and know the full story before you talk out of your ass. bitches.
Well for on thing J my 2 next door neighbors got pregnant to get welfare not once but twice for the both of them at the age of 15 and 16. THEY BOTH SHOULD BE FORCED TO GO TO WORK. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHY THEY DONT WORK.
I think “workfare” is an excellent thought – does anyone know any countries/cities where this has existed successfully? Jonathon no one is judging people who are making an effort to change their situation or begruding them their assistance. God knows, these “service jobs” do not pay the bills. People collecting E.I. between jobs or working single moms who are being subsidized are not the problem in this country – the problem is the teenage idiots getting knocked up so they can smoke weed and watch t.v. all day for the rest of their lives.
Eating fastfood on a regular basis probably harms the world far worse than a few teenagers on welfare for a few years. As a society, we’ll end up having to support these people one way or another (A lifetime of stress leads to large strains on medicare), if a parent is forced to work at a low paying job while their child is in universal daycare as has been suggested over a few posts here, why not cut out the middleman and just pay the single mother/father the money to take care of her/his own children until she/he finds a job that would allow them to take care of their children at the same time as earning a living? Why not try to create jobs that people can work at from home? Less commuting would be better for the environment. Many parents end up on welfare due to sudden separations or divorces. If the family was on a middle to lower middle class income before they divorced or separated, then the parent looking after the children has little to no choice other than to go on welfare. Many times the primary caregiver is employed , however they often have a part time job to allow them to look after their wee ones. There are precious few jobs that allow parents to take their kids with them to work. I’m fortunate that I work from home (or cafes ;-), but very few of my friends who have families do; they either struggle like you wouldn’t believe or they NEVER see their children.
Mmmmmmm k. So these low lifes should get paid to take care of their own children while I bust my ass going in debt for 2 degrees so that one day I may be financially stable enough to consider bringing another life into this world to support? Nothing should come for free, and having more kids than you can afford is not a fucking basic right! Try again.
Actually, having, caring for and providing for your children is exactly what defines a human right. No I don’t agree laziness aught to be rewarded but what happens if people refuse to work? Do we then starve them? Make their lazy asses homeless? There must be a happy medium. You cannot go at this sort of welfare issue with a one-size fits all solution. We do cap the amount you get no matter who you are which is a far cry from a regular Canadian’s standard of living but we don’t starve them. THAT would be inhumane.
