Everyday I read a few newspapers online, and what I have discovered time and time again is peoples’ incessant need to complain/bitch about everything, varying from the new smoking ban, or why people are obese, anything really. I know, bitching about a bitcher, is bitching…right? so from this point on I will just stop reading the comments, saving my sanity for yet another day!. I just pray that all those people will someday learn that simply bitching about a problem will not fix it, so perhaps they should throw away that hamburger, butt out the smoke, and do something about it! that is all

  1. Mike, did you read this comment? If so, then your personal quest to avoid comment sections has failed. Start over and try again, but I think you’ll find human nature and curiosity will keep you coming back again and again. Mwah hah hah hah haaaaah!

  2. It’s called “venting”. Feels good to get it out of your system even if there’s no fixing the problem.

  3. I avoid a certain local newspaper’s comment section because it seems to attract society’s most negative people. (People who think we have the coldest climate in Canada, the highest parking fees in Canada, the worst crime, and other extreme b.s.)
There doesn’t seem to be room for intelligent debate and no one appears to be reading other people’s comments other than to fire back – “if you believe in yadda yadda, you’re an f-ing idiot”, which is weak.

I like reading the bitches on The Coast because the comments are more interactive and this site attracts some interesting viewpoints, not just negativity.

  4. The fact that he used one of the very forums that he is criticizing to lay down his complaint is what is fascinating to me. I think the fun part of this is to see if he will be able to resist coming back to this site to see how people responded to his bitch! Mike, if you come back to read the comments, please let us know, this is fun!
