Crop Circle Alien believers on the NSPIRG Board Met an NSPIRG executive board member who claims to be a believer in sweeping conspiracies to suppress the truth that 9/11 Was An inside Job, and about how Aliens Made the Crop Circles, Man! There’s no way humans could have made these miraculous shapes in fields. That’s the social justice anti-fracking anti-GMO community in Halifax for you. —NSPIRG Sucks

  1. Eric, my friend. I despise them too, but this obsession is gonna kill ya, Brother. Trust me, I’ve been there.

Anybody remember how that prick Tommy Dontcair revealed his troof colors the day after SEAL 6 nailed Bin Laden. Remember how Honest Jack’s first task as leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition was to tell his deputy to shut his piehole. Remember how Tommy tried to backtrack.?
Pepperidge Farm remembers. So does Ivan. Heh heh heh.

  2. A SERIOUS CONCEPTUAL SHORTFALL

NSPIRG? Anyway, I detect a serious conceptual shortfall in your “reasoning” process. To maintain, without evidential suport, that the believers that 9/11 was an inside job and that aliens made the crop circles are identical with the social justice anti-fracking anti-GMO community in Halifax is both irrational and incoherent. In other words and not coincidentally, you place yourself among the credulous “Troofers” who you claim to despise. In still other words, you bring yourself under your own interdict. You do understand that, don’t you? No, probably not. Oh well.

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheeri!

  3. Oh, hey, now don’t forget about the “chemtrails” !!!

(Anyone know where I can send a donation in support of those?)

  4. The social justice anti-fracking anti-GMO community in Halifax consists of 20 people… why are you giving up your power to them? Oh, they will rant and rave.

These crazy-ass topics are what sells advertising so they are very attractive to and picked up by local media outlets. In the long run, public interest will win

And there will be jobs; good jobs. There will be GMO foods growing in the Valley and they will be fracking the shit out of Colchester and Cumberland Counties. Halifax will continue to be come richer.

Rural areas will combine to form realistic, sustainable communities. We will stop having to travel to other provinces/countries to buy a decent pair of jeans or a few shirts.

I will run a successful and profitable coffeeshop where you’ll be able to smoke pot without a license or made-up medical excuse to do so.

And I’ll be offering free pot for all my LTWWB co-commenters…

  5. You do realize that conflating conspiracy theorists/alien believers with local social justice activists makes YOU look like the crazy person, right? Honestly, your post is barely coherent and more closely resembles the ramblings of a tinfoil hat-wearer than anything I’ve heard come out of NSPIRG and the like. For once, I agree with Montrealman, which is mildly terrifying, but clearly points to just how absurd your perspective is.

  6. CERTAIN CONCEPTUAL/SUBSTANTIVE DIFFICULTIES

“For once I agree with Montrealman, which is terrifying, but clearly points to just how absurd your perspcetive is.” meOw (11/24, 2:07PM)

It was indeed gratifying to learn that you agree with me but, as you might suspect, I have diagnosed certain conceptual/substantive difficulties which warrant further scrutiny. The first is conceptual. If you agree with me only this once, how is it that you have not agreed with me previously? As you are no doubt aware, one of my principal intellectual virtues is that of consistency. In other words, my conceptual clarifications are all of a piece. They spring from a structured, sustained and philosophically-informed epistemology. This can only mean, however, that yours is not. Tell us how you have gone wrong in the past, how you have intellectually strayed.

The second difficulty I would classify as substantive. I can both understand and sympathize with your point that you found your agreement with me “terrifying.” However, the reason for this is not far to seek. As it happens, I am possessed of enormous intelligence which often arouses discomfort and even terror in my interlocutors. However, I must say that I fould your admission of terror touching and want to allay any unfounded emotions you might have harboured in respect to my daunting powers of analysis.

The third “difficulty” (note the quotation marks), the one where you point out where I clearly pointed out the absurdity of the bitcher’s perspective on the basis of my initial analysis of his fradulent claims. This cannot be legitimately counted as a difficulty at all, conceptual or substantive. That is because you agree with me. Clearly we are of like minds. You will never go wrong when you agree with… MONTREALMAN!

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!
