Dear HRM,
Fuck you for leaving me a $50.00 parking ticket, at 6:53AM, for parking in front of my own house. I understand that snow removing is a difficult process in our climate and that you need to enforce a bylaw to protect it, but how can you justify doubling the amount of the fine from last year? Has minimum wage also doubled? What am I missing here? I’m sorry, but that is an exorbitant, almost criminal amount to charge a tax-payer on a night when it wasn’t even snowing, in a province where that equates to 6 hours of work at the minimum wage. Fuck you HRM, and all your shitty, greedy, backwards policies.

  1. Would people not be as pissed at the tickets if they were only $25? What does the cost of the fine really ahve to do with the fact that you disobeyed the law? Oh right, because if the fine were cheaper, and only on snowy days, you could afford to break the law, and would just leave your car there.

  2. You need a new job pal. How can you even afford a car working for minimum wage? Maybe you need to sell it and go back to school.

  3. here’s an idea for you, leave your car there, then when they come to put a second ticket on it, they will just tow it away, and store it for you. then in the spring, go to the auction and buy it back, oh but wait, you still have those tickets to pay,and no plates til you do, tough fucking luck, sucker.
