As we walked out of the 3D movie a middle-aged woman complained to her daughter, “Well, that certainly wasn’t worth $16, but I’ll take what I deserve,” as she put both pairs of glasses in her purse. Her daughter then dumped her leftover popcorn on the floor and they walk out.

Why do you think the movies are so much?! Maybe it is the cost of replacing the glasses? Or paying someone to clean up the ground-in popcorn from the floor? Doing those things certainly isn’t going to bring down the cost of the movies… —Transform This!

  1. “Her daughter then dumped her leftover popcorn on the floor” That’s not very becoming …

I usually just skip out on the 3D anyway. Sometimes it’s a welcome treat but not for every film, it’s pointless.

  2. i have seen a few 3d’s, and some are not worth 10 bucks, let alone 16. i kinda feel for her, but being as it may, if you don’t want to pay, then don’t fucking go. it’ll be on 3d t.v. soon enough.

  3. I’m sure she would have said the same if the ticket was only 5$. It’s a Michael Bay movie, it’s only normal to feel like you’ve been ripped off.

  4. 3D sucks as much today as it did in the 1950’s. But nothing forgives douchebag behaviour.

  5. Movies are expensive regardless, you shouldn’t be going if the extra 5 bucks is that big a deal to you. Some people like the 3D, others just get a headache. Next

  6. Some dumb fuck at Futureshop on the weekend put on the glasses to watch the 3D thing and went “hhuuurrr durrrr this doesn’t look like 3D dderrrp dderrrrrr. My 52″ tv is better durrr”
His shorts were unfortunate anyway … A real dingbat.

Hey now Frenchie, Transformers: Dark Side of whatever was good. Except 2hrs 14min sitting down … not cool.

  7. 3D movies are a complete waste of time and money IMO. I hope it’s just a fad.

  8. What’s the woman going to do with the 3D glasses? Wear them outdoors on a bright sunny day?
As for the spilled popcorn, they scoop it up and serve it at homeless shelters on movie night.

  9. I was wondering… if you get a cam of a 3d movie and you swipe the glasses from the theater…. does it work?
    I can’t see why it wouldn’t…
I have the glasses but haven’t found a 3d torrent to try them on yet.

  10. movie prices are set by the industry. It’s the candy counter they make their money on. You pay more for 3D cause it takes more money to make one.
