Why, ATM, Why? Why do you only give out $20 bills? Everyone wants to pay all the time with their $20 bills, and I have no change. Where do you expect me to get change from when EVERYONE gives me a $20 bill? I have come to hate the site of them and have started hoarding fives and tens on the rare occasion one ends up in my possession. Does the Bank of Canada not realize that every a-hole wants to pay with a 20 about 99% of the time?—Penelope Huggins

Go to the bank and buy some fives and tens? real difficult, huh? laaaame bitch
Oddly enough the Scotiabank ATM in the SUB at Dal gives out tens.
Not a lame bitch. It’s a fucking hassle for some of us to get to a branch. Especially if you work the same hours as they are open.
It is actually a bit of an issue.
There have been many times I have been asked by a cashier or cab driver if I don’t have anything smaller than a 20 . . . and sorry, but I would use a smaller bill if I had it, but it’s not my fault that many ATMs only dispense 20s, and their inablility to make change should not be my problem.
It really should be up to the business owner to be aware of this reality and make sure that they can acommodate the customer.
Not an issue for those of us who use plastic. How often is it that you need paper money? Not too damn often.
“”I would use a smaller bill if I had it, but it’s not my fault that many ATMs only dispense 20s””
You’re missing the point…in your rush to defend yourself, you haven’t noticed that the bitch is against the ATM, not you…
Also, a “marketplace” is a place of mutual transactions. Your comment that it should be “up to the business owner to accomodate you” is pretty elitist…how about having some fives and tens in your pocket if you’re a regular purchaser of small items?
Life is a two-way street you know…
I was actually wondering this the other day. Had to take a large sum out of the atm and couldn’t get out the exact cash because they only disperse 20’s. Of course I could go to the bank teller if they didn’t open after I’m at work and close right when I get off.
I try to not use plastic to avoid the fees and shit.
penny, 4 rocks for a twenty is about right.
So anyone using a $20 is an “a-hole”?? Maybe your an idiot… Every business owner know to keeps some reserves in their safe for such situations… As for always working business hours??? C’mon now, unless you work 12 hour days and have no reliable staff, that’s just BS…
