This is the love story about a boy from Calgary and a girl from
Halifax and how they met, fell in love and are now on the journey of
the rest of their lives together.
Scott and I met in one of the most popular places in Halifax, Pizza
Corner! I am happy to say that it wasn’t a drunken episode but it did
end up with us exchanging numbers and talking everyday from them on.
Scott and I talked about marriage and a family from the beginning of
our relationship, we have so much in common when it comes to our
futures. So our proposal was’t a huge shock but it was super sweet to
say the least.
I love the ocean, the salt air, and growing up in
Halifax. Scott use to come here on family vacations because his
parents grew up in Dartmouth before moving to Calgary. Throughout our
relationship we have spent a lot of time at the waterfront. We took
long walks, had big talks and some of our most special moments as a
couple there. One night after Scott got off work he asked if I would
like to go for a walk down the waterfront. I wasn’t particularly in
the mood but went anyways. It was typical Halifax night, foggy, enough
to make my hair nice and frizzy! So we walked along the boardwalk
reminiscing about the days of our childhood and we came across the
ship playground. And we started to walk towards it, discussing our
memories of playing there. After we reached the top of the ship, we
stood looking out, alone on the playground and the waterfront. Scott
turned towards me and went down on one knee. At first I thought he was
joking but then he expressed his love for me and asked me to marry him
and without a doubt I said yes!
We are having are wedding here in
Halifax in 2013 and can’t wait for the big day!
